What "depending"? It would be a second season. ALO was just adaptation of second arc, not new anime series. I really don't understand why people treating this like that.

Btw. ALO arc (vulmes 3 and 4) was deleted from Baka-Tsuki.

It seems that baka will delete all volumes when the yen press volume 1 released, and they're just doing that gradually.

Because some people treat the word "season" as being a per arc, or even every 13 episodes rather than when a series takes a natural break like this. Lets just say unless it's called SAO 2 or something to that effect, "season" can be a very flexible word for people. There was a debate on the topic a couple of years ago in the general forum IIRC, it had a quite diverse set of opinions on what exactly the word season constituted for anime.

As much as I dislike GGO (relative to the other volumes), I'd be happy if they kept animating the show.

I'll be interested to see if any of the anime/manga places around here stock the novel or if I'll have to order everything online.

SAO have 1 season, and that season is 2-seasons-long anime. how about this?

I believe one way to resolve this was to write it as 'SAO has 1 season, made up of 2 cours, where the first cour was Aincrad's arc and the second cour is the ALO arc.'

Not really.
A cour is usually 12 to 13 episodes, but sometimes it can be as few as 10 or as many as 14 episodes. The first arc was 14 episodes and the second arc was 11 episodes.

I've not found any lines that mentioned Asuna had this rapier enhanced. Could anyone ask Kawahara (on Twitter) for this bug?

Remember that the time of SAO -Progressive is only in the first few floors of Aincrad. Asuna hadn't had any romantic feelings for Kirito yet. They are like best friends and comrades at most.
