Leadale no Daichi nite (In the Land of Leadale)

The light novel series 'Leadale no Daichi nite' (In the Land of Leadale) will be getting an anime adaptation.

Plot Summary

Quote:
After a horrific accident put her on life support, the last vestige of freedom Keina Kagami had was in the VRMMORPG World of Leadale. When she wakes up in the body of her game avatar, though, Keina—now Cayna—finds that the worries of her old life appear to be a thing of the past, but somehow this new land doesn't seem to be quite the Leadale she remembers...

To be honest I barely made it through the first episode, not because it was bad or anything, but just because it came over as horribly generic.

Yeah, hate to say it but so far it doesn't really have anything that just grabs me. It's good, sure, but I don't feel any real strong desire to keep going. Oh well, I'll give it a couple more eps.

Curious to see how she interacts with her 3 kids, especially considering one of them is a Dwarf.

Pretty good start to this anime, I enjoyed it.

I do like this kind of comedy anime with op characters, always a lot of fun involved.

feels like a non-gender bender version of Pupil of the Wiseman

Well, not the most exciting start, but neither a bad one. I'll keep around for two more episodes to see if it gets more exciting.

Not exciting, but it could be one of those relaxing isekai, like the one about the slime killer.

I found the first episode very relaxing. I find that this is generally more common with female-lead series, so I was half expecting, half hoping for something like this. I am a bit puzzled that the innkeeper's child seems to be the second most important character if she has three in-game children, but I guess if they haven't seen her for 200 years, they may not play quite the role in her life they otherwise might.

That was a pretty calm first episode. Nothing really bad there or anything really overwhelmingly good. Should be a pretty comfortable show overall. Although if it gets too comfortable it might be too boring to remember to keep up with . So we'll see how that goes.

As always with this sort of setting the world situation is a bit uncertain. Seems like the game universe was detached from reality and allowed to blossom into its own functional universe. But no clue how the heck that went down. Or why it took 200 years for her consciousness to awaken there. Her body somehow ended up at the inn but no one was confused about why she was in that bed so clearly she showed up to stay the night before her real world consciousness kicked in. Which naturally opens up the questions of whether her body has actually been doing things for 200 years.

But that's a lot of breakdown on things they'll probably never delve into . Should be interesting whenever her 'kids' arrive in the story.

I will say though...that OP didn't work for me at all. Not sure what about the song didn't work, but definitely going to skip that one going forward.

This is the isekai of the season by its own merits

The bar is pretty damn low though...

Series is kinda cute so far but there's too many furries and not enough charm; aside from her "kids" its pretty generic. I'll probably give it another week anyway.

Yeah, nothing special, but better than last week. Feels like a little more happened, at the least. Gives me some hope. It's no Kuma though.

yeah, the second episode was better than the first, so I'll give it at least another week. Does seem like the RPG/Isekai stuff is crowbarred in to meet the trends, as without those trappings it's basically a reasonable fantasy world romp.
However there are better fantasy world romps and whether I stick with this one may depend on how the season pans out in what shows I'm watching and what days they're on.
