I found the first episode very relaxing. I find that this is generally more common with female-lead series, so I was half expecting, half hoping for something like this. I am a bit puzzled that the innkeeper's child seems to be the second most important character if she has three in-game children, but I guess if they haven't seen her for 200 years, they may not play quite the role in her life they otherwise might.

That was a pretty calm first episode. Nothing really bad there or anything really overwhelmingly good. Should be a pretty comfortable show overall. Although if it gets too comfortable it might be too boring to remember to keep up with . So we'll see how that goes.
As always with this sort of setting the world situation is a bit uncertain. Seems like the game universe was detached from reality and allowed to blossom into its own functional universe. But no clue how the heck that went down. Or why it took 200 years for her consciousness to awaken there. Her body somehow ended up at the inn but no one was confused about why she was in that bed so clearly she showed up to stay the night before her real world consciousness kicked in. Which naturally opens up the questions of whether her body has actually been doing things for 200 years. But that's a lot of breakdown on things they'll probably never delve into . Should be interesting whenever her 'kids' arrive in the story. I will say though...that OP didn't work for me at all. Not sure what about the song didn't work, but definitely going to skip that one going forward.

yeah, the second episode was better than the first, so I'll give it at least another week. Does seem like the RPG/Isekai stuff is crowbarred in to meet the trends, as without those trappings it's basically a reasonable fantasy world romp.
However there are better fantasy world romps and whether I stick with this one may depend on how the season pans out in what shows I'm watching and what days they're on. |
