Shakugan no Shana is a good adaptation, honestly. They say the Second Season is bad, but it's just they decided to focus more on Yuuji because the parts the fillers took up would shift the focus too much.

I'm actually looking at the one who works on the storyboard.
Here are the guys who are tasked with the storyboard: Hiroyuki Shimazu (ep 3); Michio Fukuda (eps 4-5); Seiya Numata (ED); Takashi Watanabe (OP, eps 1-2).

Just to clear the record, I'm not saying shana was a bad adaptation, what I'm trying to point out is that this particular director has a history of ending with original material that may or may not work out for the better...

Not like it matters, at this rate this is the only season you'll get. Looks like this is a Baka Test situation (as opposed to Stratos, Durarara, Bakemonogatari) where the anime is only driving up novel sales while the anime is going to flounder. Now they may make a second season if this can crawl its way to 4k and the increase in novel/manga sales means it's worth making a second season..

Well I've heard that the TWGOK S1 sort of bombed, but they have a second season anyway, who's to say that they haven't planned one for Aria already?

Well TWGOK was like Mitsudomoe. The anime was planned to be two split apart seasons and announced that way from the start. We haven't seen any announcements like that for Aria yet.

considering this is JC staff i think its safe to say we'll atleast get two seasons

If that happens, it'll likely get put on the backburner for awhile.

JC Staff still it's more well-known series to worry about before they go off and do a second season of Aria. For instance, SnS III.

At least we can hope it'll actually happen unlike if it was made by SHAFT.

Alternate universe version of this series.

From what I've heard, Kinji and Aria aren't partners in this version and rather he's teamed up with Hina instead.

Not sure about what else is different though.

It's not an alternate universe.

Akamatsu-sensei is still the writer for it, it follows a different system called "Amica" Kanji: Sisters of battle.

These "Amica" are two-man teams, separate from Butei teams, a sort of mentor-student relationship. Kinji doesn't make an appearance in it, except mentioned in passing.

It follows a person called Akari, who becomes* Aria's sister of battle. It starts a few days before Aria meets Kinji. It's Shoujo Ai, pretty much. Fuuma is in it too.

He shows up on the last page (at least I think that's him...who else would also say he's returning to freaking Assault?)....I think he appears next vol maybe?

Which chapter is this? I only have up to chapter 5.

The only time I've seen Kinji now is when the bike-jacking seen is mentioned, and we don't even see his face.
