A quick question to those of you in the know, for the sake of me and other fellows who are new to this poll-thing (me starting my own fan-ness somewhere in March 2005 for one): How do they conduct these polls, anyway? Do the pollmakers pick people off-the-street for this, or do these polls only apply to the readership of the magazines? This and any other pertinent details would be much appreciated.

I'm not too sure about that. I think of Char and Quattro as effectively different characters; after all, their attitudes, outlooks, and even personalities are quite different. Char, on the whole doesn't really do anything for me, but I quite like Quattro. If I were to vote, I would vote for Quattro, but not for Char.

It would have been all right if they had just left him alone after the end of Zeta. But, Char's Counterattack sort of screws everything up. As is, the CCA Char is a fairly logical progression of the MSG Char, and it is simply easier to think of Quattro as a seperate character (after all, he's not even using the same name). However, Quattro is still quite different from MSG Char; he's not conniving, treacherous or vengeful at all. In addition, he seemed to gain a fair bit of compassion, responsibility, and a sense of futility.

I think the only reason he was so conniving in MSG, was because he was working for the side he was trying to destroy (which he did). I mean, I`d almost hand it to him for ending the war thanks to him Bazookaing Kycillia. Though I do say that CCA Char and MSG Char are similar, I could see him taking the Zeta path because of his relationship with Lala. Even though this is besides the point, I also think that the novel Char would definitely follow down the Zeta path than the CCA path. (sounds like Star Wars, lol)

Brightman, these polls being dominated by GSD is just because it's more "recent". The votes are dominated by the TBS 6pm Broadcast. (FMA, SEED, and then one notion for Blood+) Black Cat was a fairly sucessful manga, and after the Blood: The Last Vampire movie, people were like "SEQUEL PLZ" so Saya and Train as the top picks for newcomer dont' seem that suprising... |

Anyway, it still brings joy to my heart that Shinn is following Kira closely in the polls (second to him in MVP award) but totally sucks because he's like 12,251 votes behind...at least he's topped Lacus in MVP and Strongest Character Awards...
