Just found out that Megumi Nakajima is a Japanese-Filipino.

wow! I didn't know that! Galing! Nice! Too bad I don't like Ranka (I'm a Sheryl fan). But she does a great job voice acting and singing.

Indeed she has improved a great deal from the decultured episode. I guess she put those months between decultured and the broadcast to very good use on the voice acting front.

I've always wondered if she was a mix. Turns out my assumption was correct.

After all, her eyes were slightly bigger for a Japanese girl and then there is her facial features.

I do wonder if she had the experience of hearing Tagalog and some English. But maybe not...

Wouldn't bet on it. Japan is not very welcoming when it comes to South-Asian languages.

No wonder. Now she does look Filipino if I think about it.

I doubt she can speak Tagalog though! She's prolly born and raised in Japan.

From what I heard, she did spend most of her life in Japan. Not enough info on her Pinoy mom.

I knew this from someone who posted in the Gabby news blog. I did kind of think she was either part Filipino/Thai/Vietnamese/Malaysian/Indonesian somewhere down the line but thought it was just me so I didn't comment on it. All I know is that she's got such a cute smile

I'm hoping she could also voice the Tagalog dub of Frontier if ever it comes to Philippine shores. What are the odds? Considering that Frontier might not even show in the Philippines in the first place

Much as I love Iijima Mari and all her cougary goodness... Some of her English songs just don't... 'work' IMO.
