Hmm, not sure if anyone notice.
But seems like Tobi voice actor is made by the one and only Great Teacher Onizuka's voice actor. It really fits ^^;.

One of the episodes I voted really low. It was so slow, like while they were talking, there were at least a few seconds of pausing before anyone said anything. I for the first time fast forwarded some parts but at the end, it did make me laugh with the piggy back ride.

episode was slow (but i got to see tobi, so i dont care), i still thought it was great. and the gai piggy-back part... priceless!!! best part is when lee tells neji to get on!!
it was a fun episode to watch

Episode was decent, just moving on with the storyline.

Hopefully next week's episode seems better. They seem to cover more actual plot, and there's a bit of action. Hooray for Hinata/Shino/Kiba appearance.

A 7, hmm.

Decent episode, there was allot of comedic references but like everyone else’s my favorite was definitely the Gai piggy back ride (more so when Lee offers Neji a piggy back ride, that part did it for me it went "Beep Beep" like Lee was a taxi picking up a passenger lmao). Personally. . . with Tobi's introduction I expected more, in fact I expected his and / or Deidara's air time to be twice as more comedic then the Gai piggy back ride ordeal when it came on. It was a total let down, especially when I herd Tobi’s seiyu . . ., yea the guy was GTO but, in my personal opinion it did not match Tobi at all. Not only was it unexpected but, shocking. Then again most likely because its so very new I'm not impressed, probably I shall grow to like it . . . however, I never did have a problem with the seiyu's of any of the other characters, especially not Deidara or Sai so. . . hmm. I shall wait and see, I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode with the appearance of Hinata / Shino / Kiba. However, I can't help but wonder if the anime team consulted with Kishimoto about who Tobi’s seiyu would be and / or, if he personally had a hand in deciding or at least agreeing / disagreeing. Only because if Kishimoto did have a hand in it then, man does that explain allot of things about Tobi, phew.

Poor episode, having only used about 3 or 4 MINOR scenes from the manga, and not really moving the pace of the series, but I LOVE Tobi's voice, it fits his personality perfectly. Here's hoping though that his voice stays true to his character much later on.

Heh, I actually found that episode to be pretty good. Sure it wasn't fast paced, and they did not get a whole lot done. But, they introduced some interesting new characters, and the episode had some personality, similar to the very early episodes of Naruto.

For instance the:
"if you hit Buddha three times, even he will get annoyed..." could of easily been a generic phrase, or completely omitted.

the "oh, hell no" from Neji was actually funny.

The fact that Tobi is not some generic brooding bad guy

and finally Sai giving the ridiculous superficial smile.

This episode actually makes me want to see the next episode, because I think Naruto might finally be getting some personality back in the show.

The scenes with gai & kakashi were priceless though...

What do you guys think of Tobi's voice???
I always thought of it being closer to son Goku from dbz, the squicky annoying type; I guess they made it manly or smth

Best part of this ep was the humour. The Tobi stuff was great and so was the piggyback scene. The short bit between Neji and Lee was hilarious.

Spoiler: It was nice touch when Sakura turning back to Chiyo's grave for one last time her fingers were gently caressing on the grave for a last farewell. Gaara taking the initiative when he offered the handshake to Naruto means that he took the first step to cast away his shell and to reveal the true him. Second. Spoiler: Judging by the preview for the next episode, Naruto Shippuden will not be switching to filler-mode, therefore, the manga storyline will now open up to the second arc. If there are going to be any fillers later, I estimate they'll likely to happen after the end of the second arc. Third. Spoiler: We were treated with new characters being introduced at the start and at the end of the episode. The interesting issue risen is that the rings must be of unique importance for Deidara to frantically for his on his mangled, right arm & Tobi getting the one that once belonged to Sasori. I cannot explain why Zetsu did not devour Sasori's only living part, that is his heart, in order to keep traces of Akatsuki a secret from their enemies? At the end of the episode, Sai makes his long-awaited intro since he was unexpectedly debuting at the spoilerful intro to episode one, and he's given much spoilerful screentime on the new ending.
