Or something that surpasses that #!

I'm in trouble because I'm really bored and cannot find anything to read. This is because ever since I watched Blood+ and read Mars, THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN TOP THEM! At least not for me... and it's really frustrating because I would love to watch another anime or read a manga!

So give me your MOST FAVIOURITE, BEST, etc... and tell me why it is that without giving anything away.

It can be any genre... but if you can (don't have to) have romance in it as well? ;D

MY favourite has got to be Death Note. It is just so unique and awesome. Seriously, the write rof the manga must have been a genius to be able to come up with such an out of the box yet awesome story. Its about a guy named Light who finds a notebook that can kill anyone as long as you have their face and name. He then sets out to kill all the world's criminals. Then, the world's best detective, L (who no one has ever seen, and whose real name is unknown) tries to hunt him down. It really is an awesome battle of wits between the two, and whoever find the other's identity first wins.

My top 5 are in my sig, but ef is my number 1. It's purely magical. A work of art and a brilliant tale wrapped in inspiration and wonder. nothing comes close.

It's a bit difficult to find but mine is "Dragon quest Dai-no-daibouken". sometimes called Dai
's adventures"" or the Spanish version "las aventuras de fly" based off the video games the anime was never completed but the manga was. By far my favourite story of swords, magic, and dragons.

It isnt my top, but sure is up there, Monster. To me its very an amazing anime to watch, and read. Don't let the 74episode discourage you to watch it, trust me, its worth it. It has such a deep character development then any other anime that I've seen imo. The art is fantastic also, the story is fantastic, must watch for anyone!

Hmm thats kind of tough =P I've finished watching the series, and Im currently reading the manga, hmm, I'd say watch the anime. Though I chose to read the manga to see whats the different so far, and really, not much different compared to the series where Im reading up to, atm. Yeah, watch the series instead, I think it'll be more enjoyable.

Wow, now THAT is a hard question. If I were forced to choose just one anime, I would say Ah! My Goddess. It just has a sweet story with lovable characters.

For manga, I would go with Naruto. I like it a little bit better than the Bleach manga.

#1 Anime? Thats hard, it used be a sort of tie between Honey & Clover and BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad but right now Ookiku Furikabutte is giving both of those a run for their money.

Koi Kaze (not for everyone) (A+)
Mononoke Hime (A)
Gakuen Alice (A-)
Great Teacher Onizuka (B+)

Since you are enjoying Elfen Lied, I suggest:
Death Note (B+)
Higurashi (B+)

I am also going to second these from your current list:
Mai Hime (A), Full Metal Panic / Second Raid (A), Card Captor Sakura (A+), Escaflowne (A-) (TV, not the movie, which is terrible!), Chrno Crusade (A-).

Manga:
Angel Densetsu (A+) (had me crying from laughter... left me with sore abs)
Keroro Gunso (B+)

As an aside, the Kenichi and Hayate manga are WAY better than the anime, so if you are considering them, try their manga first...
