Is anybody here following the manga? On Wiki it says the manga has 25 volumes and still ongoing. I loved the anime, and was wondering how much further the manga goes compared to it, and how much if differs?

Then one last question, if it follows the same storyline, from what point on should I start reading?

You're talking about the anime that was a set of short (6-minute) episodes? It's been years since I've seen it, but as I recall, it only covered the first volume of the manga.

The manga itself gets a lot more ... convoluted. I don't think it was made too explicit in the anime, but in the manga, Saji and Koizumi do sleep together periodically. (I'm not going to bother marking that as a spoiler, as it starts in the first chapter.) However, just like in real life, that doesn't really solve things. Then there are a number of secondary characters introduced, each with their own quirks. And there's lots more on Koizumi's history and how it was she ended up that way.

Anyway, to answer your question, you may as well read the manga from the beginning.

In the manga Koizumi sticks her fingers up an old man's ass in the first or second volume. At the time she was naked and accompanying her friend on her first time trying out prostitution, because she was too scared to do it alone or something. They didn't actually go all the way with the guy (the goosing was a preventative measure), so it was all okay... right?

Anyways, that's as far as I got.

It's practically a hentai manga, without much detail... Koizumi is a slut, seems to even be a bit of a lesbian. Read at your risk. lol

On the other hand, she definitely does not think of herself as a slut or a lesbian. The "truth" is rather more complicated.

i was wondering... how many volumes did u get from this manga? i cud only find 4 volumes and a total of 29 chapters do u guys have more?

Nope, we were actually scanlating it. However, it was stalled since we did not have any Japanese translators available that liked the manga. If you know of any J-E translators willing to translate it, we wouldn't mind kick-starting the scanlations again.

I finished reading volume 27 (the latest one published in June 2008). This long series may finally be coming to an end soon.

Surprisingly a LOT of character development for an ecchi romance.

just watched the anime....hah such a laugh, but is koizumi really a prostitute? with old men? eerrggh wtf. i thought she was a lesbian at first, thats kinda ok but old men? i havnt read the manga yet, it sounds kinda disturbing.

Just curious, at 32 volumes, does the manga follow them past high school graduation? Or is it one of those that is stuck the same point in time and the characters never gets older.

At 29 they're still in high school, don't know anything beyond that, but pretty sure 30 is also in high school.

Almost two years after my last post in this thread. Finished reading 29 during a lazy evening. Memory sub-plot still active (or inactive if you look at it another way)

Can't believe how long this series is getting - 32 in Japan already.
