What are my chances of pulling everything I need for an Index deck from one booster box? Just asking because my past experiences with booster packs(greedy YGO) were really bad. I am also asking because the To Aru Majutsu no Index/Railgun I set seems pretty big. I don't want to end up with like a billion copies of a card that I'm never going to play.

Unlikely you will be able to make a solely Index character deck. I'm not sure, I have not yet bought a booster box.

The chances are 0. You will not even be able to get 8 blue climaxes.
1 box hv 20 packs. Each pack hv only 1 R and above card. So you will get something like 16 Rs, 4 RRs (1 of the 20 will be a SR or RRR) Lets say the color distribution are more or less equal. You will get 4 blue R and 1 blue RR.

Even putting aside the issue of the rares, 1 box will hv 20x8=160 cards. On average you will get 40 blues, not enough to even form a pure blue deck. (I don't know which other colour goes well with Index's blue so i assume a pure blue)

If you have limited finances, i would suggest buying the trial deck and build up from there. If you are only interested in the Index portion of the set then i think buying singles will be cheaper.

Well, their not so bad.
I can get everything I want from both My-Hime/My-Otome/The Girl Who Lept Through Space sets foil for less than $100. That is one heck of a deal compared to buying boxes for $50+ each.

But, if that still doesn't do it for you, look around. I'd try searching google.jp through the shopping area. You have to use the Japanese title for the game though... You may find cheaper and more available singles this way. Other than that, you'll be stuck buying at high prices and/or boxes.

I, personally, go to Pojo.com. But I've only ran into 1 other trader there. Other sites I've tried don't seem to have traders of this game. I would like to trade with more people, but it's not catching on very well. Other than that, I'd try places like facebook.

In other news, it seems like there may be yet another Nanoha set for this game. Right now, I'm gonna call it a rumor because the official site and the normal places I buy from do not mention it at all. Mind you, if you have not seen Strikers, this will be a spoiler, as suggested by the tag.

I've decided on buying boxes, since the starters only have 5 cards you can only get from them aside from the booster box. Older starters had 2 cards.

Single buying is rather hard for some players, mainly because it is hard to find singles and a way to get them sent to them.
