This show is radically different from the novel, I hear, so anyway a lot of potential spoilers could not even happen in the anime.

On another topic, why is this not getting a subforum again? I have 40ppp and even then it gets tiring to browse this thread each time an episode airs.

Thanks you two for clarification. I wasn't so sure between spoilers from ep3/ep4preview/novel so I tried to ignore all. That's why it's killing me.

It's funny how things turn out sometimes. Shinka wasn't on my radar during the season previews, and now I find her one of the more interesting characters.

But that was the plan: lure people in by advertising Rikka heavily and surprise them with the other characters being just as interesting to keep them intrigued as to where the show is going.

Well the thing is there really are a lot of character designs that feature tall slim builds with long black hair, reddish eyes and an imposing presence. As I pointed out it's kind of it's own trope at this point called Tall, Dark and Bishoujo. Looking through your watch list and spotting High School DxD maybe you were thinking of Akeno Himejima possibly? There's actually one in my avatar too in Kuroyukihime who is probably one of the most well known recent example that you might have seen in a couple sigs around the sight. Maybe that's who you're thinking of too?

That's the best I can do though since again the design style is pretty common, a lot more so lately at that with it cropping up at least once or twice a season of late.

When i first saw Shinka with those Pom pom in OP, i thought she was the 'airhead neechan' type.

I really want to ask this before, but is "Kumin" an ordinary Japanese name? I means in wikipedia, her name actually was written as 五月七日 くみん rather than a Kanji.

Maybe the name has something to with how name of all of our characters were fairly unique (as someone mentioned before)? Like for Rikka and Touka last name: 小鳥遊=Takanashi (little bird playing = no hawk)

Female names written entirely in hiragana aren't that rare to my knowledge.
I often spot one even among the voice actresses, Miyuki Sawashiro for example.

That being said they're usually names that stil exist in Kanji form, I don't think I remember any "Kumin".

I guess it really is an unusual name. Not sure what's supposed to mean or refer to.
