With that being said, it's still a very high jump due to the insane wingspan. Even more so considering the position where Kuroko had to jump, since the previous full-court shot showed that Kuroko was at half-court, so he did have to run from behind, so it's impossible to have maximized momentum.

...How long more until the Phantom Dunk?
Nah, 'phantom' won't be used again.
My bet is on one of this:
Ghost Dunk
Spirit Hook
Mirage Pass (appear to pass but didn't)

The naming will continue becoming bigger, wonder what level they will reach by the final

Hope they will focus a bit more on the other 2nd years, I wonder what 'special move' the others have gained during training camp. Mirage Pass sounds like Izuki, Spirit Hook like Mitobe.

lololol

I'm reminded of the movie who starred a player who's literally like Kuroko.

It was also titled the Sixth Man.

Scanlations have caught up, 171 is the most recent one.

The fact that Haizaki was the previous 5th man in Teikou indicates he was extremely skilled, I wonder if he got scouted by a school as well or he just happened to enrol into a veteran one. Since he picked up basketball again, why didn't he participate in Inter High?
The fact that he can 'steal' the opponents move sounds more fantasy-like than Midorima's 3P, even if he shoots in a different rhythm than his opponent, wouldn't one subconsciously correct their shooting form? Especially when you have thrown that way for the last few years.

Theoritically it's possible. If you can do a full court buzzer once, than in theory it's possible to do it competently with enough training. It's just that it's inefficient to train it due to the amount of time it took to get your muscle memorized shooting from every position in the court, time that should be used to train other skills and physique, and even after you mastered it, the defense can just adapt and do full court man to man and make it useless.

I'm more curious with Midorima vs Akashi match, than the rematch vs Kise (LOL This guy is more hax than I thought, he suddenly can sink 3pt whenever he want too? how the hell he can copy Midorima 3pt anyway, that's not a "move". I don't want to imagine if he in the zone)

Hope Akashi is more "modern" scoring PG than traditional PG like Kuroko, that would be more interesting n add more diversity.

Kise's Miracle-tier perfect copy only lasts for 5 minutes though.

How to say, isn't copying GoM moves suicidal at his current state? He injured his leg by copying Aomine, now he copies moves from 3 members while his leg is still injured? I doubt his condition is good enough to play in a game

Kind of disappointing Haizaki disappeared in like 3 chapters, especially with him stepping on Kise's foot. I'd expect more unfair plays like that, not just one

Didn't Kise manage to copy and sustain Aomine for like an entire half-time? I mean, he took a long time to digest it, but he sustained it for a decently long while.

Guess the author realised that it would be ridiculously broken.

174 raw is out.
I lol'd at the last page. If Akashi was wearing these, the scene would have been perfect

Rakuzan's 5th guy.

Somehow I can't escape the lingering random speculation he's Rakuzan's version of Kuroko, whom Akashi had nurtured and created.

Unlikely, with Akashi being PG, the crownless generals SG SF and PF, the fifth guy plays center. Center is usually quite tall, if he can still 'vanish', it'd be close to a miracle. Besides, he's supposed to protect the low post, how can he do that when he uses misdirection?

Though it is very likely he has some unique power, as he is in the starting five, or he could simply be a extra, as it doesn't really matter who plays center with such a line up

176 is out.
Rakuzan's SF talent apparently is dribbling, a basic but vital skill, Akashi's talent has something to do with his eyes.
Even though Midorima shoots 3P, the score is equal? Assuming Midorima defends perfectly against the SG, Rakuzan has better points per possession?

The question is the range of his eyes. If it's only limited to the player in front of him then it's not really predicting the future per se, since he won't be able to predict off-the-ball movements and set pieces. If he can actually view the whole court (hawk/eagle eye), then he's a true forecaster.
