Picked up a copy of Continuum Shift today. Been a while since i played the first one, though thankfully i was able to pick up things pretty quickly. Totally shocked by how difficult Ultimate Hazama is as a boss for arcade mode. I'm a bit rusty, so it's gonna take a good while before i'm back upto speed. Guess i should check out tutorial mode.

Totally loving the new designs for the characters.

For those interested, screenshots for the PSP and 3DS release of Continuum Shift. Both versions will be released on March 31st.

Bah, I still hate the blue fog effect for Distortion Drives they have in the PSP version instead of the magical circles/rings and scrolling faux markup language text effects that they have in the arcade and console versions. Doesn't look anywhere near as awesome.

picked up CS a week ago and loving it, v-13 was my best character in CT and come CS I tried to make tsubaki my new main...but I just cant seem to do any good with her, still play lambda fine though.

Also tutorial mode is a good bet even though Ive been playing this a long time I found a few things I had missed such as rapid cancels through the tutorial. Poking through the challenge modes also lets you get in on some of the more complicated combos, though not all of them are very feasible to use ingame some are great.

Yeah both modes have turned out to be extremely helpful. Especially seeing as though i bought Calamaity Trigger yesterday

. Yeah i had it for the PS3, though i have a 360 in my room now, and wanted to replay the story. :3

Tsubaki is really improved in CSII, her initial tier projection was top 3 though who knows where she will end up but either way she's much more viable than in CS.

I was really looking forward to trying out the new Tsubaki but they cockblocked arcades outside of Japan getting CSII... (I hear there could be a workaround, doubt the arcade I know with BBCS would do it though) and I think I'll fully be in Marvel mode once the CSII balance patch comes out and than you're got SSFIV AE patch, KOF XIII and Arcane Heart 3 just came out... thinking of importing that right now.. but worried about it being announced for localization like just after I get it lol...

I will say this though I think BBCSII has the most watchable matches in the franchise thus far, a lot of the changes have helped in that regard imo... pity the arcade exclusivity is so long... btw anyone got an updated tier list?

S: Noel, Makoto, Hazama, Jin
A: Ara,Tao, Rachel, Mu, Lambda, Carl, Tsubaki, Plat
B: Ragna, Hakumen, Bang, Litchi, Valkenheyn, Tager

Thats the current one, but its still gonna shift around a bit, looks very good though. I'm looking forward to playing platinum, I watched some videos of her in action and I think she looks like a character that will fit my playstyle. With Tsubaki rising up though, I can give her another swing as well.

Honestly I'm not too into MvC, I'll still be in BBCS at that point. Also, why hold back on CS2 outside Japan? I don't really understand what is to gain from that.

BTW, Nasubi = Kyaku. As in the Carl player, that Kyaku.

Like how R-1 is called High Bridge now.

sigh. needs more bbcs2 console release. it looks so much more fun. though i'm not a big fan of the DP combos (jin and ragna). Rachel looks amazingly fun to play. and it looks like /\ can actually do damage!

BBCS is getting a console patch with mechanics updates and character tweaks. And a new OP which is awesome looking.

What? Lambda does damage now? As a Lambda player, I am highly interested in this news.

her corner combo is something like 5ccccccc > 6c > 236c > backdash > 5ccccccc > 6c >236d > finisher for >3k. plus 236d is useful as a combo extender. its wunderbar. too bad her CA sucks horribly.

That doesn't sound like a lot compared to the TK crescent combo, but I guess it's easier to do. Also considering you can loop 5cccccccc > 6c off of a 236c for around 4k damage in a corner with the right spacing. It sounds a lot easier to use than TK crescent though.
