From what I hear, episodes 1-39 of Twelve Kingdoms follows the story of Yoko as depicted in the novels. The other novels do not deal with Yoko as much and therefore were not animated. Episodes 40-45 were extras that were based on other portions of the novels.

As for Gash Bell, I think that episodes 1-100 are pretty much based on the manga. Episodes 101-150 are not and of course are the last episodes produced. I, for one, would like to have more seasons of Gash Bell that follow the manga, but I don't really see that happening anytime soon.

Ai Yori Aoshi doesn't need an "ending". I would love to see another season. Since ~Enishi~ ended, I've been looking for that slice of life series and Honey & Clover and ARIA have been more than enough. Still, you can't replace the likes of Aoi, Kaoru, Chika, Mayu, Miyabi, Tina, and Taeko. I wouldn't mind seeing more of Love Hina either, but it doesn't interest me as much as AYA.

I really want to see more of REC because the Anime was not nearly long enough. The Anime ends at the end of volume 1 of the manga, I WANT MORE!

Oh, I was strictly thinking about a continuation of the anime based on the rest of the manga. Same thing goes for Hajime no Ippo.

That's so true! The manga is really good, too. I'm on volume 3 now. Hopefully they'll create another short series or go for the jugular and make a 13 or 26 episode series.

I would still like a continuation of 12 Kingdoms, even if yoko isn't in it much (i seem to remember lots of the existing episodes didn't feature her directly anyway)
there are so many bits of the story they just never resolved, and i love the 12 kingdoms universe. This is by far at the top of my list of animes that need continuation

more Fruits Basket would be very very nice
and of course i am hoping for more seasons of School Rumble, FMP and Haruhi, but it seems likely that these will all get more seasons (touch wood )

there are other series i would love to see more of, but only because i think the existing material is great, not because the story requires finishing

Well, considering that the novel series isn't over yet... and they need a larger cache of stories (than what the un-covered novel there are right now) before starting a new series, that's a totally diffrent problem.
Much like the problem with the Seikai no Senki series.


As for what series I want to see continued, one anime stands out for me as the highest priority.

Imagawa-version Giant Robo.
Without any question.
If I have to wait yet another decade for it, I will...
And there are tons, and I mean TONS of anime fans in Japan that's been wanting a sequel for the last 10 years!!!

I'd like a better ending for an anime called Boys Be.. although the ending implies what happens, it wasnt very satisfying.. Im still seriously angry by the fact it ended that way.. >=(

I want them to continue the fruits basket anime... since the manga is finished in japan I wish they could finish off the series, since it didn't really have an end.

Also, I hope sometime in the future they make more Blood +... I loved that series so much

My own personal choices would probably be:

Ai Yori Aoshi - This is my number one pick. The manga is finished now (at least in Japan), it's time for a third season that finishes out the story of Aoi and Kaoru. Please!

Full Metal Panic! - I would love to see a third season of FMP! to either carry the anime to the end of the novel story-line, or to at least animate more of the novel storyline if that is too much (they can always do a 4th season if they need to! )

I've seen more than one person mention Love Hina, and while I would love to see the manga animated all the way though, I think at this point they have messed up the manga storyline in the anime so much, they would be better off just starting over from the beginning and re-animating the whole series.

hahaha agree, If Negima had been remaked I'm hoping (yeah hoping ) that this one must have also... though I'm hope the remake will not as bad as Negima!? ..... instead as excellent as Kanon (nah... since they've had such different studio though )

I vote that no good anime should ever end .....some times I get a little weepy at the end of animes......mostly if the ending is sad but some times it just hits me...Its over no more...but why?
