damn the new ep is good! i love the zoro and sanji banter (as usual). those two never fail to crack me up! they added a few more lines and scenes but it's still hilarious!

sanji: "marines. come. we. ship. run..."
zoro: "okay. you. later. slash..."
LOL

luffy using haki and gear second without much fuss is epic!

Now that was a good episode. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji quickly smashing up those Pacifistas. Though think they could have taken some of the time spent on the fakes and used it on the quick beatdown.

The Sanji and Zoro banter is good to have back. Neither one had a relaxing training trip.

In terms of the timeskip looks the results are kind of mixed. Franky is just , Usopp is good, Nami and Robin are naturally good , Sanji is fine, not a fan of the scar over the eye with Zoro but could be worse, Luffy is good, Chopper is fine too. Really, they didn't do too bad overall.

Now they can all meet up and we can get going again. The quick little fight was a good example of how far ahead they are compared to before they got scattered. Back then they needed to go all-out and triple team even one of those things just to take it down.

Well one would think Ivankov would grow stronger after these 2 years as well, but thats only implied by our thoughts of natural progression.

But with that train of thought, Mihawk and Shanks both have grown in strength as well, which makes it almost impossible for the crew to ever catch up.

Which brings me to another point. Will we ever know why Kuma gave up his body to be turned into a cyborg? He mentioned he made a deal, but that has yet to be known yet. I guess we will find out whenever they decide to show an arc with the much talked about but never seen Vegapunk.

Ya I would think so but not everyone's growth will be in a linear fashion I would presume. Also growth in strength is harder to surpass the next level as you are stronger.

Kuma's ordeal, I hope we will find out his reasons at a later arc.

On the other hand, while their skills would get better, their bodies won't get better with age. Zoro is now 21, and is one of the eldest non-skeleton, non-cyborg, crew members. Shanks is closing in on 40, Mihawk is in his mid 40s, Ivankov is probably older than that - probably old enough to be Luffy's dad. In real life, pirates were kinda like NFL players, most don't stay active in their 40s

Navy vs Pirates was pretty interesting.
Fake Luffy was a total coward, but that was to be expected and he totally got what he deserved.
Finally! Real Luffy exposed/Sanji/Zoro vs PX-5/7 & marines ^^ Crazy strong!!

I just noticed that the Coribou brother with the green hair has a reptile on his head and not hair. Well it looks like one anyways.. LOL

I kinda like how the little clip of commercial half break shows the order of the Mugiwara no Ichimi arrival to Sabaody Archipelago, well the order they were reintroduced anyways.

I also like how Zoro is basing strength levels on what order everyone appeared back at Sabody lol.

That's the only thing he's got to piss Sanji off

I agree with this. Shanks and Mihawk are most likely approaching the end of their physical prime if not already there and usually the growth declines as people ages. So even if their overall strength improves the growth of Luffy and Zoro should be much greater and thus closing the gap.

Finally after 2 years all the Straw Hats are together and have set sail! Like how everyone helped them to escape. At least we know now how Zoro was able to come in first. Sanji's torture throughout was great.

Yes, that was quite a funny episode.

One thing I notice, for more Zoro and Rayleigh comparisons, is that they both have slashes over one of their eye. Rayleigh has a slash on his right eye, while Zoro has a slash on left eye. Also, Raleigh was using a sword. I'm not sure if the mangaka is doing this intentionally or not, but there are so many little hints.

I'm glad to finally see the crew together. Sanji should have died with all the blood loss. I can't wait to see how he responds when he finds out that Boa is Luffy's "girlfriend".

Sanji steals the episode for me. There are so many awesome moments to come regarding this humour, and you could say it's one of the main reason why i'm watching the adaptation at this point.

so far... this rendesvous episode really meet my expectations... I'm glad to watch the anime too (beside reading manga)

I know that they're going to advance in slow pace but the comedy part just still funny... hahaha

Rayleigh totally rules!
Thriller Bark & her ghosts ^^
Finally, everyone's back together!
Sanji was just hilarious!!
It was great how the friends they made in the past 2 years helped them to reunite & escape.
New & improved ship was pretty impressive too.
Awesome episode!!!

Oh, I almost forgot about all the Perona action this episode. It seems she got really attached to Zoro during the time they spent together. Heck, Zoro has spent more time with Perona (2 years) than he has spent with Luffy (less than 1 year) and the crew. It is definitely raising huge flags for Zoro and Perona. Also, it seems like she became a lot more powerful during the past 2 years as well. She could take out an army, almost.

Sanji really is the best

I really loved how they made him such a creeper with Perona.

Yeah, he is really funny. During his time away, the other guys mostly did well. Luffy has the most beautiful woman as his girl (plus an island full of women loving him), Zoro has Perona attached to him, and Brook had thousands of fans willing to show him their panties. Usopp already has a girlfriend. Franky is just not interested, and Chopper is too young.

I can't wait for all the drubbing he will get from everyone.

I really liked that scene with Zoro and Perona haha. They didn't put much emphasis on that in the manga, but in this episode of the anime they definitely did. Seems like she's really going to miss him haha. He's the only character where he has these side relationships that keep getting hinted at, but they take forever to progress lolol

but kind of lame that it's probably going to be the last time we'll be seeing her for awhile at least. Hoping they'll bring her back in later on though

Shanks can go both ways. Like you can say he's closing in on 40, but then at the same time he could pass on as maybe even early 30s or mid 30s. Gotta think about it this way though. The One Piece world is based on a time that's way before ours like in the early days. So supposedly they got it on way earlier if you know what I mean haha. So people may be younger than you might think they are.
