In reference to slash isnt it because he already has experiences stopping sniper bullets with his reflexes and body alone (with patra) and then now his desire of protect Reki brought forth his new technique, after all HSS should be stronger when protecting woman.

About the misfire, I wonder if her rifle couldnt kill her, or is it because Kinji tried to perfom mantenaince on this one. I would like it if it was the first.

1_former ue(ie?)including vlad's daughter at the end-begin vol.7-8?
2_the tandem of kinji imouto and her teamate(don't remember their codename) at the end of vol.9?
3_new enemi who has yet to appear(thus another bishoujo descendant of some famous man)?

Meh. When it comes to superpowers, there's thin line between cool and ridiculous. I've always felt Kinji left that line behind at the two fingers sword catch, and never really looked back.

On another note, if only the series was called something other than Hidan no Aria. I could almost believe Reki stood a chance. (I still prefer Shirayuki, but I find Reki a close second, and vastly preferable to Aria.)

Few reasons I hate having a heroine name in the title. Reminds of Index. Having her name on the title with little to nothing comes from her. I wait for Touma to do Falcon punch and I'm satisfied with it.

Here in Hidan no Aria. Despite Aria inheriting the scarlet bullet. She doesn't know how to use it yet. Plus I read this book to see what crazy stunt will Kinji do next or what kind of girl will fall for him.

Both having heroines name with the actual heroine got little to do with being the reason I enjoy the series. Plus given that they have already the highest chance of getting an ending story.

I have a mixed feelings about Kinji making Reki's bullet misfired. I sure am happy that she is not dead. But what if Reki faces a situation where she needs the last bullet to eliminate the target but it misfires instead, or she has to either suicide or get captured and torture to death? In the latter, I guess she can always use her bayonet though.

And Kinji, what on earth makes him ask that question to a girl lol.

My god that was a brilliant chapter. Dare I say even better than Kinji and co.'s confrontation against Patra and Sherlock.

So "Koko" is the name of three triplet sisters who all specialize in their own field. Pretty interesting twist there.

Kinji's gone up a level in badassery too for managing to deflect a bullet with his bare hands. Now that's just incredibly awesome.

And now Reki's as free as a bird. Perhaps this will mean some more emotion from her from now on?

If there's something I'd ever want to see animated from this series so far it's probably this chapter. Sadly I seriously doubt it'll happen.

46 sisters only excluding Reki. You make me imagine the scene where the 46 sisters constantly keep their aims at Kinji to protect him. It must feel sooo safe to know that many snipe rifles aim at you all the time

having a crosshair aimed at your head 24/7 isnt really ideal for protecting... but what the hell... they know how to use it so it doesnt matter.

That was freakin best chapter in entire series so far...When the time comes though, I stake my claim on vol IX chapter 2. Can't miss anything on Riko....


Also, Dragunov is surprisingly light for sniper rifle...only 4 kilos...

4.3 kg for exact. It's ironic that some claimed that the SVD is a DMR (designated marksman rifle), even if it is a sniper rifle. It's obvious that semi-auto rifles (mainly battle rifles) with long-range combat performance is one of the definition of a DMR.
