Just saw the episode and even though the final scene was good it still seemed akward... how the hack did Tomoya managed to get her pregnant when whole this time they were sleeping so far apart? There easily could sleep one more person between them if not whole couple...

That's just really akward and random...

Tomoya got her pregnant by having sex, I don't think that was hard to miss. Tomoya told Nagisa that he would give her anything and she responded by asking for a baby. We can easily assume that they had sex that night and she got pregnant. I don't think there was anything awkward about it.

But still whole this time theye were sleeping way too far apart even after pregnancy.

It is akwars since we never saw them to get really close, just some hand holding and slight hugging...

lol, well you did ask how Tomoya managed to get her pregnant so I assumed that you must have missed something. Not everyone is affectionate. I still don't see what's so awkward about it to be honest.

Yeah I know what you mean. So throughout the whole Clannad series, I never really thought of them as an "actual couple". It's just that for me, they don't really have much chemistry together... sometimes I think that even Fuuko has better chem with Tomoya (just kidding ). But yeah, like you said, we as the audience never really got to see them being "close", so I agree that they are really awkward together.

But on a serious note, Clannad does fail a bit here. After watching Kanon, I can only theorize that they forgot how to animate kisses after.

Yep that's what I was thinking. At some point you could even take them for brother and sister. You don't have to be affectionate or anything (I myself am too far apart from that side) but after getting married I'm sure they could share the same bed and atleast hug each other sometimes. If not the whole marriege and pregnancy you still would wonder at what stage of dating they really are... still friendly?

Spoiler for for future episode, don't read if you haven't watched them:

At least in Tomoya's flashback before her death we did see 2 close moments, so that already puts at ease

Lol I actually saw more chemistry between Tomoya and Kotomi
But sadly it didn't happen

Yeh... they really could add atleast 1 or 2 kisses just to show an actual relationship.
1 or 2 isn't much so it wouldn't turn Clannad into some opera romance...

That's what I would like to know as well, I haven't really seen many doujinshi's that involve Clannad.

Actually, seeing that you like Tomoya x Kotomi so much, there are several fics of them in the M section

Sadly, there aren't much Clannad doujin

It really is suprising! Clannad is so popular and yet it really lacks in fanwork, even less popular shows have much more.

And here is a lot of left out material and possibilities in order to write something or draw a doujin.

Not true, there is a lot of stuff with canon material as well.

And in clannad case I'm sure there has to be crack pairing lovers and also those whould like to see more detail on Nagisa's and Tomoya's life as well as their kid.

Wow, that was quite the bombshell dropped in this episode, was not expecting it so soon. DJ Akio was hilarious, sort of Proto-TK from Angel Beats, I guess. The glasses remind more of Adam Blade from Needless, not far off in personality either, really.
