She's one of the six main combat maid, they each have their quirk, and flaws.

And how you see Albedo is her human form, most of the guardian are in their human form in front of Momonga, because it saves energy anyway.

Episode 5:

So they introduced Sword of Darkness this episode...and its members. Kinda interesting I guess and this sets up for more events in the upcoming episode with them. As for Ainz, he went around looking for work around town.

Not much action although I did kind alike the way Ainz associated with others.

The stuff about the potions and various roles of the members will probably come in handy soon.

I decent set-up episode for an upcoming arc. The "bad guys" seem sufficiently revolting and all that.

Other than that, this was a quiet episode with not a lot happening. Should be more interesting later on.

Every episode is great so far, but at the current pace I expect a second season for believably well-done major developments. It looks like a few mooks could start giving Momonga trouble before long though.

This anime is surprisingly dedicate to characterization. It spent a whole episode putting next batch of characters together and introduce them all at once. While I kinda like it's approach, I wonder if anime viewer will have problem with its pacing being too slow ? (similar to episode 1-2 complain)

Madhouse has always been a studio that follows the source as much as possible in it adaptations. Anime watcher who are familiar with the studio should already know what they are getting.

A solid adaptation with good not great animation with very few divergence form the source material.

Despite the lack of action, I quite enjoyed this ep. It really sets up the atmosphere and familiarize ourselves with each character. But it looks like trouble is brewing. I'm guessing that Belear guy and his grandma are thinking of setting a trap to steal more potions from Ainz. Also looks like Ainz may not be aware that certain potions are a rarity in this new world and should not be exposed much like the use of his gold.

Depends on the viewers. Mature or open-minded viewers who understand slow pacing to explore the characters will likely have little to no problem with it. But those kids who want “action, action and action” will likely keep complaining. Meh, I don't care about those complainers anyway. I enjoy the show, that's the important thing to me. Not really surprising since I also enjoy the slower episodes of Hunter x Hunter during the Ant Arc.

The anime didn't touch up it much.

Spoiler for Some scene from the novel after saving the village, Momonga had a talk with the elder about currency and money:

But in the novel, after he rescued the town, he had a meeting with the elder in talking about payment for the village
Elder say, he can pay him 2000 of their lowest currency, he took out 2 of the gold "coin" of the game world to figure out the worth, and with the elder wife used a tool to find the worth of the coin.
It reinforce his belief more that he's in a new world too, since they've never seen the ingame money before.

It's also why he hasn't shown the money in this world yet, he doesn't want to expose himself and his dungeon yet, since he only know there's a adventuer guild, he doesn't know what their top level is like, is it like the soldier he met, or are they stronger like the in game counterpart.

Well, Nabel did find the grandson to be a potential threat, so Ainz might not breeze through this encounter as easily as the previous battle.
