Also, did Suguha answer Recon's confession before she flew away to see Kirito, or did she just totally sweep it under the rug?

Recon: "I... I like you, Leafa-chan! Suguha-chan!"
Suguha: *smiles* "I could learn something from you, Recon."

That's not an answer, Suguha.

And I was surprised that Kirito answered Suguha by saying that he's not sure how to feel about her, since he's still so consumed with Asuna... it's nice that Kirito was able to soften the blow by making the rejection less decisive, but an answer of "Maybe we can be together sometime in the future" is kind of a shady answer to give when you have a girlfriend/online wife. >_>

I think the punch to the solar plexus was her answer.

Typical girl. Can't ever just give a straight answer.

I think the gist of Kirito's reply there was less of a romantic "Oh, I'm keeping things open for you Suguha, maybe." and more of a platonic "Hey. I was kind to you when I got back, but it was an empty kindness since my heart is still stuck in SAO, and for that I'm sorry. Let's rescue Asuna, and then we can all start over together, as a family."

Well, there was a little bit more to the conversation in the LN. But she still didn't give him a clear yes or no there.

Spoiler for Light Novel comparison for this episode's material:

It's more of "After rescuing Asuna, then from there, I'll choice my Wife and my Mistresses...

Just as an FYI, I moved the recent conversation (about whether Kirito should have found Sachi's parents to help mourn their loss) over to the "Real-Life Implications" thread.

Lack of epicness.... the final skill was lame and cliche, cheap if you wish.

Somehow want it to end soon.

Sudden power up for granted, eh? Yeah, that's too common and cliche, particularly in most shounen action manga.

The battle itself seemed a bit sketchy compared to how Kirito fought last episode. But the brother/sister relationship really did rise, although if they brought out what they were thinking as well. It might have added a little more emotion to this.

Being Sugu is suffering.

Well, decent ep. They could have shown how the reinforcements actually helped though. All they did was bust on in and show off, lol.

I was hoping for a more animated fight with the reinforcements. Like with how they animated Kirito fighting the Guardians solo. Guess budget is not cutting out for such an enormous fight?

Self-destruct magic for the "greater good",

and that excludes the user in every way.

Oh hey, Recon did something cool. I wasn't expecting that at all. What is his weapon, exactly? It seems fast, has a good range, and is powerful..
