At first it sounded like some kind of Nikita/Leon thing but upon closer inspection it seems to be a reverse FMP minus the love interest (hopefully one will appear later on). The art is simple but it works well enough, plus the backgrounds are detailed (at least more detailed than I was expecting given the character art). The story... well, there's not much to speak of but it's mildly funny comedy so far.
But hey, it's got Cyrillic letters in the title. It's kind of hard to misspell this name, but we're talking about Japanese mangaka and their love of butchering foreign languages here . And the name is plausible, even though it wouldn't be my first choice since it's a bit of a unisex name, being a diminutive for both male and female names. In fact, I would first think of a guy if I heard that . Some of the other names are a horror though. Stalina? Pushkin? The names of her assassination targets make more sense than her own name lol. Although her nickname being Kortik - Dirk - is endearing. |

When you read the premise of Alyosha, it's true that FMP comes to mind immediately. But while FMP failed for me immediately, Alyosha does show some promise. Also, it's funny to read a Japanese military geek. The manga-ka sent me searching all over wiki to find out what a Levchenko cartridge is.

I faintly remember reading this manga, and I suppose I didn't think much of it, because I didn't bookmark it. Guess I should try to re-read it. The story reminds me of Wild School, though that manga isn't really original =0\(but I still liked it).
If their was mecha, THEN I could see it being attributed to FMP, otherwise, I'd disagree. |

let see... we already get a Knife Master (Alyosha) the other two must be Bomb Guru and Firearms Sage
I just imagining ridiculous development where Miru Grandma help one of them (just like the gramps did to Alyosha) and Miru Parent also found the third Kortik and bring it to become Miru's friend too. Now, Miru have three top notch Solessia assassin walk her from home to school and become a new Kingpin. for the whole Japan |

^Russ--...Solessia is the former enemy. Kortik worked for Esto--lakia. Although it's been Estolakian agents who'd been hunting Kortik lately. New regime and all that.
Aside from that, this manga is getting better and better. Magical Sewing Girl, special agent Otaku, "friendly" kiss (the author really likes the whole very close girlfriends thing), and now the Kortik twist! I like the combination of cold-blooded spy action and gentle high school comedy. Cut a thumb, give random boy pillow lap, eat cakes. Quite the life. |
