It's all fine and dandy that there's soap and all... but what happens if one of the girls have their period? Something that I don't ever see inside those containers is pads or tampons.
Maybe fatty would have a change of heart. ^-* |

So, what's the over/under on how many more episodes 'till Tairo-san turns on them? I used to think maybe another episode or two before we saw his real twisted self, but the ending of episode 5 seemed to strongly hint that he's going to sacrifice himself....
But, if he really is the good guy he seems, then why does he keep collecting the radar gems... Hope this show is clever enough to do a red herring.

So they finally got some food. About time too.
Sakamoto really has a kind heart.. Not sure if that's smart considering the situation. Burning gas type bombs are really something scary. That blond girl was seriously traumatized. There were some interesting flashbacks this time. Looks like they were chosen to disappear by people they knew.

They are, since it's hard to predict the kind of range it is The flashbacks are very important and in the manga it's paced nicely so you can soak it all in thus getting a better understanding of the characters. Hate the fact that they decided this as a one-cour series and I sincerely hope they don't fuck up the ending with unnecessary deaths.

Ryouta being creepy about Himiko would have been okay as a sign that despite him seeming to be more of a decent person than he used to be at home, he is still deeply flawed. And there was a good parallel with the creepy guy who tried to rape Himiko; we were shown that Ryouta is similar to that person, although he didn't go through with anything other than trying to look at her undies.
But I still don't buy Ryouta's reactions, and that's because Himiko had been trying to kill him moments before with deadly weapons and there was every indication that once she woke up she would try to resume killing him. (And we know that when she woke up again she did try to kill him again.) Ryouta's first thought should have been to tie her up and take her bombs and any food she had, like he did with that kid. Instead, he just lies underneath her for a bit and his first thought is she smells really nice, then he sits around for precious seconds having drool-filled thoughts about her underwear and whether he should peek. Then he carries her bridal style without tying her up, and tries again to recruit her. It does not make sense. She's an enemy who seriously wanted to kill him, and whom he believes has already killed other people. His reaction is one of epic stupidity. I mean, I like Himiko, she's our heroine and I'm sure she and Ryouta will get along from now on to some extent, if the OP sequence is anything to go by, but Ryouta doesn't know that. I did like that Ryouta's mother and step-father were shown, and that the mother was feeling guilty. I hope she doesn't die. I'd like to see what'll happen at the end of the series if the characters go home. Those girls who sent Himiko to the island were pretty evil. Rather than blaming the people who hurt them, they blame the person who escaped and went to raise the alarm. I can see how someone might react that way, but it's plain vicious. But I wonder whether they - or any of the other people - thought the disappearances would really happen? The initial implication is that the people did think so; I'm curious about whether that's accurate. Last edited by GoldenLand; 2012-11-03 at 11:20. Reason: name spellings |

I'm not sure that it's implied she didn't call the cops, though that may be the case. I think it's more that she's the only one who managed to escape when she's the one who was the real target as well as the one who brought her friends there in the first place. It's misplaced blame more than anything, IMO. Even Himiko seems to partially blame herself.

It was unfortunate for the victims, but what else was Himiko supposed to do? Stay around and get raped as well? In weird twisted way, I'm sure the girls would have been satisfied if that happened, even though those girls were the ones so excited to see these guys anyway. In the end, these guys are the ones truly to blame, but those girls felt betrayed.
