Nothing much more to add, since everything that needs to be said has already been said. Interesting shuffling of source material — it makes perfect sense, allowing anime Saeko to be developed into a substantial love rival this season instead of next. Of course, it also means that nothing is for certain any more, which makes the anime all the more worthwhile for those who have already read the manga.

Bring it on.

They made Takashi's feelings for Rei really obvious though. IIRC it was more vague in the manga.

Honestly, now that they're adding 'that' scene to this season, I don't give a crap about season 2. Unless they just ignore the manga, and make season 2 100% original. The last manga arc has been pretty lame, and the new arc isn't shaping up to be much better.

Omg just watch ep 8 :

First , like ep 6 , while the girls are showing us their boobs and pants , the boys are talking of more serious stuffs

2nd , as everybody said , BOOBS MATRIX BULLETS TIME , best part = under Saeko's skirt :X + Sniping on Rei's boobs

3rd , i fear for an alternative ending too ...

And , good ED song , i like it + You can notice Saya x Takashi in elementary school ^^

Poor poor Saya

Even though you were also friends with Takashi since your chibi days, you don't get any respect.

First, Takashi drags Rei out of class, but leaves you behind to get eaten. Then he says he's glad to see everyone made it... except you. Then he calls all the other girls by their first names... except you (Saya this episode: 'we're all about to die! call me by my first name!' - Taksashi: 'wut?')

I really have to wonder what the point is (plot-wise) of Saya having a crush on Takashi. Someone mentioned earlier the possibility that Saya was originally going to be a love interest, but Takashi has never paid any attention to her, so that seems doubtful. Why can't boys + girls ever be platonic friends in anime?

(also agree that the music was great this episode - but it's actually been pretty epic in every episode. composers really outdid themselves for this show)

. Yes I realize the anime is going to be like this and shouldn't be taken seriously, but I wish they'd tone some of this down as it is actually taking away from some of the joy this anime has been bringing me. I didn't really have much reason to complain until this episode.

Looks like we will have an anime original ending now. When they start shuffling the source material it always turns out like this look at claymore for example. Faithful in the beginning but goes off on a random tangent at the end.

Well....please remember all that the main characters aren't Sousuke Sagara or any other "teens that have lived through war all their life".

Remember they are only high school kids. XD

Their car/humvee is stuck with all the ammo/food inside, they have a teammate down, constant pressure/attack from the zombies (and more popping every second), and no idea if they are more zombies past the fence.

It is quite common sense that anyone in this situation won't be thinking clearly besides "protect the wounded". Of course, Takashi was too busy learning to use his guns to get to the part of the plan about "get out of here".

BTW, can someone confirm me this:
Episode 9 should take at least 2 chapters of the manga or only 1.5 besides new anime stuff?

MADHOUSE does bring that on. But it's always open ended where in which you can still go on to a 2nd season or OVA's.

It didn't look like it would've been that much of a chore. But if they did that, there wouldn't be Takashi+Saeko next ep... __________________
