Monster Hunter
Anyone here play Monster Hunter?
I started with Portable 3rd, and have played that, 3U, 4U, Generations, and a little of Freedom Unite. I quite like the games, and I main Switch Ax. Though, for Generations, I switched it up and decided to main Long Sword with the aerial style.

Each title has its own (dead) thread, but yeah, I used to play a lot. Spent 300+ hours on MHFU, solo'd all the way to g-rank. Then the game turned from incredibly difficut to ridiculously hard, at which point I gave up.
I'd started out as a long sword user, but eventually learned to play with every weapon except the hunting horn. I also played a bit of MHP3rd, but since it's on my PSP1000, I've put it on hiatus since 2015 - still waiting for an ad hoc player to join me. |

Of course they are, that's the whole point of MH. You're not the hero of some prophecy who is here to save the world from evil, and if the first ten hours of herb gathering are not enough for a player to realize...their first Tigrex encounter will definitely get the message through :P
While it is largely a game about collecting weapon sets and gathering rare monster parts, what fascinates me the most is the fact that each monster has a weapon best suited for killing them and their A.I. is amazingly set up. Finding the right patterns, reading the signs of their attacks and openings, taking the fight to proper terrain...it takes a stategic mastermind to fully grasp the true nature of monster hunting. ...I need a new MH game T_T |
