There is no way Saru is dead. Like most ninja's of his amazing magical skills, Hanzou probably used a body replacement technique and the bomb was more of a smoke bomb (or it blew up an already dead body). What I don't get is why Saru hasn't shown up yet. You'd figure that if Nobuna had enough time to attack and surround the enemy, Sagura would have returned by now. Then again, they did mention that Hanzou went back to his province, so that could be a reason why it is taking so long.

As for Juubei, I'm calling the "I've got amnesia because the explosion knocked my head silly" ploy. She has grown too comfortable with Hideyoshi (a.k.a. Sagura), so they need to find a way for her to be antagonistic and re-create the Honno-ji temple event.

Either way, next episode will be the last, sadly, so it will probably end with a reunite and victory for the team. Genji probably will survive to be a later antagonist, if there ever will be a season 2 (sadly, from earlier in this thread, the sales numbers do not look too good).

True, also Takeda Shingen haven't been introduce in the series yet. She going to appear sooner or later, since she made a brief appearance out in episode 1.

Its going to be scary next Episode, the fact that Nobuna lose her bright eye color and turned pale means only a few things, pretty much all of them are not pretty and dandy.

Its one of the best things in this series, it doesn't overflow with Romance. Usually coming to the wire which seems to be good timing. The music in background was very good and set the tone and mood very well.

Nuuu, the next episode is the last one. Well, it has been a good run so far, so it'll be interesting to see how the producers will wrap this up.

It's unlikely Yoshiharu just kicked the bucket. I agree it's too suspicious that Hanzou just threw a bomb at him. Besides, the anime is not serious enough to kill off characters, even ungrateful ones like masked man Yoshitatsu.

However, if Yoshiharu is alive, where is he? Inuchiyo, who was at the scene, already made it back to Nobuna. My guess is, as most animes go, Yoshiharu managed to grab Mitsuhide when she fell. Then they had to take a long time to climb out and make it back.

Now about the body part that flew to Mitsuhide... I think its Hanzou's arm.... He may have sacrifice his to make it appear convincing that someone's body really blew up....

I doubt that since illusions has time limitations... I think "Mask Cannoner" is smart to differentiate fake blood(that stained him) and real one....

I would say it's a body double created by Hanbei's familiar Zenki. Notice that Zenki seemingly disappeared after he and Hanzou talked to Yoshiharu. I have a feeling Hanbei would later appear and say she knew Zenki created the body double, but she was too sick to tell Nobuna.
