Yeah, I'm fairly certain it is a rule that you don't usually emphasize any specific syllable. However, given the fact that it's nearly impossible for someone who has no prior knowledge of the language to actually do that, names usually end up getting some form of emphasis put on them in translation.

I dunno, it just sounds more natural. I'm not sure if there's supposed to be emphasis on any syllable in the Japanese language, but it sounds like there is to me. I'll take Kogetsu's word for it though.

Meh, nevermind me. I'm just a pronounciation nerd.

...Although, the general consensus of AnimeSuki (or at least these boards) seem to be nice, so I'm grateful.
Now, BACK TO SEITENKAN!

I have nothing against the name Emori (it sounds fine enough to me), but I might as well say this.

I'm not entirely sure where I saw this, but I think several images have used the name "Emirio", apparently keeping the thought of Emiri meaning Emily. It seems that the idea was to keep the name similar to the original, and foreign (though the exact country the name comes from was apparently a minor detail ).

Also, an interesting note; Emilio keeps the meaning the name Emily has, which is "rival". Sounds kind of accurate, in a way, especially when considering Emiri's origin (although it probably would have fit Kuyou even better, but then again, there was that one event in Suzumiya Haruhi no Yakusoku… ).

I don't particularly care what name we use, really. Though it think that a Spanish name would be a bit odd...

Ah, and you're referring to Yuki's bad end, correct? Damn, that was well written.

Just thought I should point it out. Though it is true, the male Emiri hardly looks Spanish, Italian or Portuguese (I checked ). That's why I don't have a strong opinion on what the name should be; it's all the same for me too.

And yes, I was referring to that
I think the images from that ending caused most curiosity in those who hadn't played the game, back when they first started appearing... Or, at least, that was the case with me

...I haven't played the game, so I don't really have any idea of what you guys are talking about (except for the fact that the game seems to be [one of] the SHnY visual novels).

That's true, and shows the literary genius of the guys who wrote that.

Also, Mikuru's good end
Spoiler for Mikuru's good end:

Weird game, that.

I also don't think that's a bad end at all. Just because she doesn't want to be in the SOS-Dan doesn't mean the Kyon X Yuki pairing is lost forever!

And yes, Vol 4 Yuki = MOE!

I still love how both Higurashi and Haruhi used "transferred out" as a euphemism for "died horribly under mysterious circumstances".

Anyway, Chapter 6 Part... Three?

Spoiler for Itsuko Infodump 2: Beefkitty's Revenge!:

Pay no attention to the spoiler title. In-joke.

Part 4, which is the final part, should be up later tonight, as I'm still working on it.

I just wanted to get this up now...

After she said that, however, her head turned towards a stand outside of a clothing store. Giving an uncharacteristic shriek of joy, she dashed towards it.

…What’s this now?

Itsuko turned around, holding a yellow dress. “This would look so~ good on you!” she said, her eyes shining. “Want to go in and try it on?”

I covered my face with my hand. “…Wasn’t there something you wanted to show me?” I asked, exasperated.

At my response, Itsuko looked a bit sheepish. “Ah, yes, that. But after we finish, I want you to come back and try this on, okay?”

“…Fine.”
wow.. that really came out of nowhere... <_<
