Hey I am stuck. I need help finding an anime with "battle avatars". Does anyone know any? The anime I am looking for is something like accel world or Sekirei. I would really appreciate it if someone could recommend me some really good anime like that.

Why don't you give Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu a shot. I'm sure it has what you need plus it's really funny, if you don't mind humor.

The now airing Sword Art Online?

Summer Wars is also good.

If you don’t mind a long shounen series with a lot of episodes, you can try Rockman EXE. In that series, people battle each other using NAVIs that pretty much represent the user’s characteristics.

There’s also an element of “battle avatars” in MAR. There, the male & female MC use “avatars” in a fantasy setting.

and I think Digimon Frontier is also included
