Hmm... my reply to the previous thread was lost.
Anyway, I used to love Siam Shade and I still love them now (disbanded). They are not a visual group, but their songs are defintely hard rock though sometimes chirpy happy too. There is Hideki's raging vocals, Junji 's mad drummings, Natin on solid bass, Kazuma the leader on backup and not to forget, Diata on guitar absolutely rocks. I would recommend everything by them, but these are my favourites, especially Triptych which is a masterpiece. -Rain -Lovesick you don't know -1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou -Bloody Train -Love Vampire -Tears I Cried -1999 -Black -Shangri-la -Triptych (Instrumental) -Life -Love |

So many great artists to chose from.
Pop = Ayumi Hamasaki, Mikuni Shimokawa Rock = L'Arc~en~Ciel, Pierrot, Siam Shade All pretty obvious answers, but they're only obvious cause they really are good. |

I really only listen to JRock; pop is doing nothing for me at the moment. My favorite Jrockers are -
Janne da Arc Takui L'Arc~en~ciel (can't wait for their SMILE album!) The Brilliant Green Dir en Grey Gackt All of Laruku's solo projects except Yoshi's (Hyde, Tetsu69, S.O.A.P. [sons of all pussys]) Blood Plastic Tree Porno Graffitti Buck-Tick La'Cryma Christi Glay .... those are all I can think of off the top of my head.... And, lastly, but overall the best - Miss Shiina (Shena) Ringo. If you have not heard any of her songs, I command you to go out and get her cds! Gods, this woman is talented. |

I don't really have a couple of artists that i follow other than Utada Hikaru since she has such a hummble and gentle voice. Other than that, i usualy just listen to individual songs that appeal to me.
Edit: Well since no one has mentioned her, Mika Nakashima is also a fairly good artist. Her voice isn't the greatest but her songs have a nice vibe to them. Last edited by CardCaptorMoody; 2004-01-26 at 23:49. |
