I played through all the of the school arc in the VN and then watched the anime both school arc and after story. I was wondering if it is worth playing the after story in the VN after watching the anime. Is there much more content to be found in the VN? Or is it basically the after story retold in VN form?

...I'd say yes, but others would disagree. It's just that the VN gives a much clearer understanding of the plot, but whatever floats your boat.

well, i personally believe that as long as it's an adaption, there are changes from the original. so i will read the original even if i've seen the adaptation.

There are a few things that are left out. Sanae and Akio get their own routes. Things also play out a little differently between the important parts of After Story. If you don't mind the time commitment it takes to play through the VN, then it should be fine.

It would ruin the anime series. It goes upto around episode 18 in the second season, and it isn't even that good. The anime is MUCH better.

AVOID like your life depends on it.

Don't even watch the movie, it's not worth it Personally, the movie is inferior to the anime series because it takes some liberties that didn't quite blend well with me. But if you plan to watch the movie, I highly recommend you do so after you've watched the anime series (which is an amazing experience all on it's own.)

The movie is actually a different director's interpretation of the visual novel's plot so in essence, it would ruin the effect of the anime series considering some of the plot points are similar.

The movie's animation is horrible, the hill is literally TWO FUCKING LINES PARALLEL TO ONE ANOTHER ON THE SCREEN, too much lens flare, watered down experience, don't even KNOW why Tomoyo and the rest travelled with Tomoya on the train with Ushio.

TL;FUCKING DR: DON'T WATCH IT, IT WILL KILL YOUR LOVE OF CLANNAD AND/OR TOEI FOR LIFE.

(I didn't really like Toei in the first place sooooo )

oh god the movie LOL. It is a good thing to watch if you have played the game or watched the anime. The movie is much like the AIR movie but worse. I like the music the dango song is more how Nagisa hums it in the game.

the OVA is good, though the kyou chapter should be longer. it's an alternate storyline, going the tomoyo and kyou route in the game.

Question: Is it revealed why the girl in the dream world waits until she can't move to help Tomoya "fix" his life?

Heck, can somebody explain to me if there was any deeper meaning in the Dream World (symbolism, psychology etc.) besides to integrate a supernatural setting?
