Famitsu is going to be revealing 9 new Vita titles this week, also a "Tales of" game is in the works for the Vita.

Dengeki has a Tales of Xillia interview this week with series producer Makoto Yoshizumi. In the interview, Yoshizumi reveals that Tales Studio has starting working on the next entry in the series -- not too surprising since Xillia comes out this week.

Regarding Vita, Yoshizumi says that they're actively thinking about developments for the series on the platform. He expects to be able to share some news shortly

The more games are made, the higher chance we will get good game. I know there will be a lot of shovelware, but you can't expect good titles without having lot of games.

New "Tales of" game is good, but seeing how I still haven't gotten my hand on Tales of Grace F yet, I don't actually look forward to it .

It is alpha's ToI:R, NDS game remade or expanded. I can only assume that Tales Studio have their hands full for the next Tales game.
What was it 26 launch titles, 3-5h battery life. I don't know but it seems that nintendo and sony are trying to outbeat each other in creating the worst portable handheld ever. Battery life, who cares just give them a PSU with short lead...
Apparently the 26 launch titles are not all games, what ever that means...

Will be getting FFX the second I get my hands on a Vita. It is the last of the official FF numbered games that was full-featured. Hope they would tone down the dodging birds chocobo mini-game .

Not trying to be funny, but the direction SE are heading, FFX HD probably will get a IOS release.

What does that have to do with me?

I don't care about smartphone gaming. The media can hype it all they want, I am not using my phone to play games. Good on them to have whatever high sales on those things, but I use my phone to make calls.

I thought you were trying to be funny, because didn't they announce it at Sony conference that there will be a FFX remaster for Vita?

Sorry, nothing to do with you, you were just the first one to point out that FFX HD was announced, that is all.

Sorry for the over reaction, I am just a little on edge lately. That, and any mention of smartphone gaming pisses me off. I am already over my tolerance in getting all the "gaming outside smartphones are all doomed" news reports in the last year.

Nothing personal.

There is a fanmade translation patch available for ToI (DS) , but if they by some unknown chance decide to bring ToI R to the West, it will be one reason to eventually get the Vita. At least then when/if a new KH is announced and possibly Zero no Kiseki - I hope Trails in the Sky 2 + 3 will still appear on the PSP - (I can still dream), the Vita becomes a must-have.

OK. with P4G and one more of those high profile JRPGs (if) confirmed for localization, that's gonna be dealbreaker for me to buy Vita.

More news...
PlayStation Vita's Torne app pulls in live TV streams served up from a PS3

Quote:
Need another reason to be interested in the PlayStation Vita? Sony announced during tonight's press conference that it will tie in with the only-available-in-Japan Torne DVR adapter (PlayTV in Europe and nonexistent in NA) for the PlayStation 3. Once synced up, it allows users to remotely tune into live TV streams Slingbox-style, browse listings and remotely schedule recordings via an app on the portable device. It should be ready to go at launch, while the ability to export recorded shows to the Vita like one of Monsoon's boxes will be added later. For now however, we can only look on in envy and hope rumors of a PlayTV 2 eventually come true, and come out here.

I'm with you. A red Vita is absolutely required to buy.

Some really nice trailers though. Seems like I'll definitely buy more games for this system than I ever did for the PSP.

Army Corps of Hell
Game is published by Square Enix, and made by entersphere founded by former Nintendo Staffer Motoi Okamoto in 2008. Apparently there are a couple of more ex-nintendo people involved, mostly programers.

Just heard that Disgaea 3 is coming for Vita.

I am almost 100% going to buy a Vita now because of it. I played 1 and 2 already, but am not in a permanent residence right now so don't really want to purchase a full size console. The fact that it would contain all old DLC content sold it for me.

I only hope that it won't be region locked as the nintendo's mistake for 3DS...
