You can also check out Amazon Marketplace. Sometimes you can save some money even on new books. Just go to the page of the book you want and click on the New/Used books link. If you're willing to purchase a used book you can save a lot of money, in some cases paying just a penny plus shipping/handling fees.

Novels are mostly words, manga are mostly pictures.

Seriously, what do you mean? Storywise, or what? The manga and anime both follow the first 3 novels very closely. Fumoffu follows the short stories its episodes are based on very closely as well. TSR has most of the 4th and 5th novels but moves some of the events around timewise - the Mithril traitor is captured in Italy at the beginning of the novels rather than halfway through the series, as he was involved in Gauron's TDD hijack rather than the Hong Kong incident. HK doesn't happen in the novels; it's mostly there to introduce the traitor since he wasn't mentioned in the first season. Gates is much less prominent in the novels than he is in the manga. Also, the twins are male instead of female.

manga still has a long way to go. You can read it here: http://www.mangafox.com/manga/full_metal_panic_sigma/

I think the manga shows Souske's feelings toward Kaname compare to the novels and anime.

could you be more specific about which volumes of FMP: Sigma manga covers which novels ? (for example vol. 1 of manga covers 6th novel or something like that) thanks btw, anyone knows if any of the novels have been translated to english ? i'm interested in the ones that start after the events of Full metal panic: The Second Raid, so if i'm not mistaken, starting from novel 6. thanks for the help !!!

what about chronological order of the novels ? they all go one after another, just like they were published ? if yes and if you say, that vol 15 will be DVMC and let's say manga picked up from novel 4 or whatever, then we have what ? 10 years ahead to complete manga ?? i hope they have Japanese lessons in my town

Kaoru84 i thought the exactly same thing, when i saw that pic, but oh well, i guess it's better than some pathetic ending, where he tries to save her over 12 novels and ends up dying in the end, or she dies in the process, or worse: she ends up with leonard. i personally loved the ending of the story favorite series ever

Nice, mate, nice.

Where'd you pick up Into the Blue?

I had a quick look around and only found a couple of hits on Amazon with private sellers wanting ~ $300 for it...

5 I know of: Cinderella and Irrelevant Emotion from Boku-Tachi, and all of Side Arms 2 by Mister V. TokyoPop hasn't done any of the short story collections yet.
