I have no idea where to put this, but I assume kj and the other game players read this thread too, so:
Have you guys read Ryukishi-san's most recent diary entry (09/09)? http://07th-expansion.net/Cgi/clip/clip.cgi (;゜ω ゜) ちょっと試しに 「もうすぐ終わる、全部終わる。 そう、うみねこのなく頃に」 (にゃーにゃーにゃー) ...ダメだ、ギャグとしか思えないw |

For people that can't read the diary entry. Ryukishi 07 is thinking of his next story. However, it's still in development. The title will probably similar, something like _____ naku koro ni to differentiate it from Higurashi yet keep the bond to the group. As for the setting... since the last story took place at a remote mountain village, this next story will be at a remote island!!! ...or maybe not. When Seagulls Cry doesn't sound fitting Quote:
But as a gag/side story I don't think it'll be bad. Rika does say she wants to go play at the beach  Actually, if they keep in it the same world, I would love to see Akane in action. Like, how she met Kasai and (un-named) Dad. 上の上見たい~なぁ~ *ド~~ン* @ Shiosai That text that Sushi-Y used also comes out in the Sound Room area when you play Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. |

Hey, I got my hands on a full version of Daybreak lol. Sometimes it`s good to have an omnipotent and rich friend xP
The problem is, when I start the game, the screen is all black. Music is playing in the background and stuff, but... Here`s the screen: Any idea how to fix it? I dun want my (and partially my friend`s) money to be gone lol.

To do this, hit Start then Control Panel, then Regional and Language Options, choose the "Languages" tab and check "Install support for East Asian Languages". It'll ask for your XP disk if you haven't installed this already, and you may have to restart. Once you've done that, go back into Regional and Language Options, choose the Advanced tab and in the drop-down menu under 'Language for non-Unicode programs' choose Japanese. Hit OK. It'll tell you to restart, do so. That'd be the obvious explanation anyway. If it doesn't work, post back. |

Daybreak works fine for me even if I dont' change my unicode. I just get a lot of weird characters.
Also, I was thinking of setting up a hamachi network for people who play daybreak? Hamachi if you don't know what it is, basically gives you an IP and makes it possible to connect to each others IPs even if the other is behind a router or whatever |

I already played japanese games without change the unicode I got strange characters on the installation, but when running the game, everything was normal... All kanjis and kanas were there... (the game was a sound novel also...)

I don't know any Japanese, so I can't say if it's good or not, but I suggest you get an editor to do some spell checking and stuff for you. |

"信い聞かせる" makes no sense, I think you meant to type "言い聞かせる"? The period at the end is odd too, it'd make more sense for it to be a comma that connects the 3rd and 4th line together. Other than that, paying attention your word choices and grammar will always help with fluidity. Quote:

I've probably made a few mistakes in the transcription as I'm just copying it straight from the screen. |
