Well, maybe it has something to do with the creation of Izayoi.

The strongest being born from Paradigm Shift I could think of would be creator deities that created the universe, the reason I think they're unrelated is that would make Candidate of Origin associate with religions which they don't. Their existence is closer to Celestial Spirit ( one of the strongest species ), and Kouryuu suspected Izayoi's body is similar to SonGoku ( she's a half Celestial Spirit ). Maybe they're half Celestial Spirit of Little Garden?

tbh I'm leaning more toward the fact that Izayoi got his power since birth and not given to him, that's the the only explanation I can think of for Canaria to kidnap him, if she had the gift before she could've just adopted a baby legally or just given it to an already existing member that was with them, plus when Lapp asked her about it she called it Code: Unknown at first and even the second name was just something she came up with, so she didn't even know the true name of the gift.

I don't think Candidate of Origin is a gift, but I have no idea what it is though. Highness was given ( or enshrined(?) 祀り, I think ) the status of Candidate of Origin.

Both are possible, and it doesn't really matter anyway. His power is the trump card they prepared, I think Candidate of Origin is something special even in Little Garden, Shiroyasha doesn't seem to know about it and she's supposedly someone from higher than 4 digits, that or it's because of his hax light pillar. Canaria said even in his current incomplete state his potential doesn't lose to SonGoku, that's really fucking broken already.

well, i believe Canaria used all her power to make a paradigm shift and with this shift create a "Candidate of Origin" but she would not have the power to choose who would become the candidate ( maybe even izayoi's gift was just consequence from becoming "Candidate of Origin") . in the end izayoi became the Candidate of Origin and Canaria was forced to take him from his parents.

Hm, the final evolutionary form of humanity? Well if you go about it that way, then the final evolutionary form of humanity would be someone who would be able to surpass the boundaries of humanity and enter the realm of the gods (or in this case, demon lords) Being able to adapt to everything means nothing would work on him, therefore nullifying gifts that would otherwise work on other people.

She just remembered what Izayoi said and run away with Pest later.

In the latter half of the volume she had a talk with Shiroyasha about the future of the lower region (flashback), but nothing really important.

Allen メインヒロイン Join Date: Sep 2007	I shouldn't be posting here considering that I didn't manage to finish the summary for volume 7 (Good job on finishing it @versionf!), but yeah, I just finished reading the last volume so... Spoiler for Volume 8: Just like others already said Izayoi lost 100% against Azi. He managed to fight him for a while and tried to finish him with his most powerful attack, but... He isn't dead yet, but it won't be a surprise if this happens in the next volume. You turned into a Garuda to fight a Dragon and lost her powers as consequence. Asuka managed to defeat another dragon using her gifts and finally got some confidence. Well, the most interesting infos here were the other name of Izayoi's gift and the true origin of the Gift Games. The true "Maous" from the old times were called "Last Embryo" [read as Humanity last trial or something like that] because the humanity couldn't defeat them no matter what. Even Azi can only be sealed by the "Heaven's Army" composed of some greek gods, slavic deities, angels that are kind of crazy folks that were controlled by the Rabbits. The fact that Izayoi is also called Last Future of Embryo surely has relation to this and even the short story had something related to it (anything that surpasses the actual limits of humanity in science/power is called Last Embryo?). There is also the "Another Cosmology" that Azi used against Izayoi and that Highness had but didn't use in his fight against Izayoi. It looks some kind of special Gift that can control "a Group of Gods" or create (?) "Another Universe". I guess Izayoi's most powerful attack is this, but he doesn't know yet. Don't know what this really means for now, but this will be an important piece of info later. Asuka had some hints of her next development too. Alma was thinking that Asuka does have a true potential of controlling Gods, but it's strange that her body is of a normal human. Maybe her actual body is kind of a "fake vessel" or something like that. So yeah, just 120 pages of actual development but lots of revelations as always. Next volume comes in winter.
