Concerning those photos of Mayumi, as I mentioned in the Autumn 2009 thread, that hypodermic looks like the kind used on livestock! I know the story line is that the psychiatrist is injection-happy, but if the nurse pulled that thing out, I'd be out the door and looking for another doctor.

Damn, the animation looks amazing. I think the injection needle was just for exaggeration.

I think Mayumi's holding the extra fat needle. The running joke is that she distracts the patients with her looks. :P

ps. if you hadn't noticed, the minor characters' design will be based on the seiyuu's appearance.

The book "In the Pool", the first of the Irabu series is pretty good. That book is translated in English and is sold in stores.

I cannot wait for this anime. It has potential and it is in the noitamina timeslot, which usually has good anime.

Nah, different songs. The Chatmonchy Shangri-La was different from the Denki Groove one being remixed here (and different again from the angela Shangri-La used in Fafner).

When I showed my friend the trailer (Given this is the kind of stuff that is up her ally), she seemed to recognize the song "Shangri La". Apparently, the song may be a cover song of "Spring Rain" by Silvetti. There was another remix a couple years back, that was done by "Instant Funk", which the song seems to be more based off what Denki Grove is doing.

However, I could be wrong.

I thought the live/animation transitions were handled quite well although I'm not sure what they add to the presentation (except some real-life cleavage).

Trailer is amazing. I squealed so hard at the end when TakaSaku talked!!!! OMG!! Im so glad Paku is voicing the chibi vers, she'll be awesome. I so cant wait for this!

I never read the books so all i had to go by was the japanese wiki

This is totally unlike how I expected, not to mention looks totally different from the play and drama versions.

I like Nakamura so it should be cool and the lady they got to play Mayumi is hot (though I prefer the lady in the play)

I am going to watch this. Probably one of the most original animes out there that isn't corrupted with fanservice by a large margin.
