Fate/Prototype is the original version of what would become Fate/Stay Night; the version of the story which Kinoko Nasu developed as a novel before he and Takeuchi Takashi re-engineered events (and characters) into the published VN. Several changes can be found between the two; most notably, the original Master-Servant protagonists were not Emiya Shirou and his (female) Saber, but Saijou Ayaka and her (male) Saber: The release of season 3 of Carnival Phantasm included a 12-minute OVA, which included a sneak peek at what might have been had this version of the Holy Grail War been published; yet a peek is all it is at this point, since Type-Moon have no plans to revisit the topic. (That said, one could argue that the character design of Gawain as seen in Fate/Extra owes much to this "original" Saber; perhaps other influences will make themselves known in future T-M works?) |

It looks even darker than any of the other Fate series so far.
There would be light moments at somepoint, particularly between Saber and Ayaka. but on suspects some other characters might be fun, but others seem batshit crazy. And someone seems like a possible yandere for Saber, if I don't mistake that voice tone out of what I think is Aki Toyosaki's voice (Ayaka's crazy sister, Aika)

When I first read about it, I thought it was just Fate Stay Night but with switched-genders. I am pleasantly surprised to find out that the characters turns out to be different then their Stay Night counterpart.
Seriously needs an anime adaptation (but no DEEN please!) The visuals needs overhaul though; it's pretty good for something made five years ago, but you'd expect better these days. The soundtrack could also be better. On the flip side, the seiyuus seem pretty spot-on . If this really is Gen's new project, I'll be a happy man

if there is enough buzz generated by this there very well could be a project down the line. otherwise as you said just a fanservicey thing form TM.

We only see four servants, right? Lancer, Saber, Rider, and Archer.
We don't knowingly see Caster, Berserker, or Assassin (though Assassin is likely the same as True Assassin...since that is supposely the rules...but who knows).
