On easy at least I was able to Taiha the boss once even after being sent south. As the extra battles are sub ones so you reach the boss with enough ammo, although the very low fuel make it very dangerous to do so. Wouldn't recommend it for any other difficulty not for final kill.

As expected, the south route was made bizarrely long in order for players to use Hayasui's mechanic. With the replenishment, the boss fight becomes more manageable.
Of course, the main issue of that method is that B-X-D-J-L a gambit by itself because you reach node L with VERY little resources, so you might be crushed. No idea when Hayasui activates exactly (on boss node only?), but it seems less desirable for carrier fleet. Needless to say that armor reduction runs are still required. But Akitsumaru + Hayasui secure at 100% the boss route. This setup is feasible without akitsumaru, but you have high chance to be sent back to F instead of node H, which means being forced to go through J, which means confronting a wo kai with a surface fleet.

I'm pretty certain devs have hard time to decide what to do with the second fleet flagship.
The simple fact they never addressed this point nor declared it as a "bug" is quite telling. For a matter of safety, it is best to wait for report of this feature at the start of any event instead of assuming it is there to stay. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if in a near future they will force a retreat if the second fleet FS is in taiha. I don't see them having fun by including the FS as a legit target for the FCF, nor how they would deal with the fleet behaviour if the FS were to really sink.

Any Tip on E 7 Carrier Task Force , Been Using Surface task to weaken X Y boss ( If the fleet condition is still OK push forward and clip the boss guage ) so far no clean kills on the boss just mange to Taiha it 3 times (Must be low on ammo ...)

There is no peculiar tip except by praying to have a straight path from E to the boss without going through any south node.
You can bypass that with 3CVL and 0 CV, but you will have a not so fun time with Wo kai units from J and M.

Okay back from that steel gathering break (got a bit lazy at the end so only 25k but it should be enough with some setbacks, and if not there's still 10~ days left anyway). Lets see how hard I get trolled.
So far so good, my X-Y business is done without my lv 10 Akitsumaru getting Taiha'd a single time. Ships are actually aiming for Nagato this time though so rip steel count, still not as bad as Fusou though if only cause she's twice Nagato's level. And got I-401 on my last weakening trip, which I didn't have cause screw my LSC luck. All is good for now.

Phew, E6 easy clear.
12 Sorties 4 Retreats 3x only chiped the boss in NB 5 clean kills with 2 NB 78 buckets used. I almost went nuts on my final run. The opening air strike took down one DD and scratched one CL. The support fleet took down the second DD and one CL as well as damaged the BB. But then I run out of luck. Haruna missed the remaining CL (again. she almost never hit anything on this node). Only the torpedos hit something, namely the last CL. My first fleet wasn't doing better. Either my ships didn't hit, only scratched them, or my carriers got chuuha'd. I hoped for Agaki taking at least the BB out, but she missed, too. So I went into NB with a chuuha'd BB and shouha'd boss. Sendai took out the BB, Haruna got taiha'd, and Choukai missed. Next was Inazumas turn. She did a DA and did only 10 dmg with the first hit. At that time I thought I have to go for another run as the next ship, Atago, was taiha'd and only Yuudachi, chuuha'd, was left. But Inazumas second attack was a crit and sealed the deal So for the next few days I must farm resources. I'm afraid to go E7 with 36k fuel, 72k ammo, 11k steel, 16k Bauxite and 167 buckets. |

It WOULD be nice if Hayasui's refuel ability was consistent, however I've discovered that it DOESN'T auto-trigger... Which made it really REALLY awkward if I hit the boss node.
So has anyone figured out what her equipment setup has to be to increase the trigger chances?

Ughh, been at this for 4 hours after the X-Y debuff business, and only reached the boss node ONCE. Wo-Kais are so troll, and almost always just say f-you and Taiha somebody (usually Jintsuu or Akagi).
On the bright side, 4 X-Y trips are enough on easy to make her armor pitiful enough to almost one shot in the daytime on green T. *Clearly I should complain on forums more, two straight clean kills. That and removing the saiun (praying for red t at double wo-kai) and moving jintsuu to escort flagship probably helped

E-7 Easy cleared!
Resources used: 15k fuel, 10k ammo, 13.5k steel, 6k bauxite, 82 buckets Debuff runs: 6 (5 S ranks at X & Y, fleet diverted once to A) No support used. The minibosses were so easy in Easy that I decided to do more. Chipping runs: 12 (9 reached boss, 3 clean kills) Cheap normal support used (2DD,2CVL). Last Kill runs: 1 Double support used. Man, I thought the last kill run was a goner when Chitose got taiha'd at Node J. Fortunately, there was still enough fighter power to gain Air Parity in Node M and the only significant damage was Hiyou being chuuha'd. At Node Z, the 4 enemy escorts were dead by the end of day battle. At night, ABKM taiha'd BB Hime making her harmless and Kirishima attracted AA Hime's attack with her searchlight. Choukai finished off BB Hime and Haguro knocked AA Hime down to just a sliver of health. Finally, Yukikaze (who didn't a trigger single cut in for the entire chipping phase) ended her in a spectacular fashion of 142 cut in damage. |
