Update on the "Ritsu/Ritu" romaji.... I was thumbing through my K-On! manga and at the end of volume 2 found New Year's cards with the *signatures* of each character in the manga strip.

Ritsu writes her name in romaji and spells it "Ritu" ... so the artist was technically correct at least as far as the character Ritsu (and the manga author) is concerned.

Actually... two things wrong with it - it really fails the "uncanny valley check" and her eyes are much too far apart by *any* human standard. I was going to say "Down's Syndrome" but they're farther apart than any human I can recall seeing at all.

The author needs to narrow the skull somewhat and really bring the eyes back into normal separation range. And even though Mugi is "anime blonde", I'd give the render a bit more asian facial build and eye shape. Unlike Anna Coppola... Mugi is actually at least partly Japanese afaik and is just light-haired (genetic quirk or tints it).

On a separate note, I thought this find by CrowKenobi was pretty good (though some of the poses seem off-character), like the fashion.
