I read the first 6 English translated volumes and I kinda like it. The cliffhanger at the end of vol. 6 was totally unexpected and now makes me want to know what happens next.

it is more shojo romance with cooking tips then yakitate. A very interesting cast of characters so far. at the end of every volume so far is a recipe for the desert or food that was featured in the volume.

Yes I have the first 4 vols but I spoiled myself vol 5 and the first part of vol 6. Im interested to see whats gonna happen. As much as I used to whine that this series was cliche and typical shoujo...vol 6 shocked me.

The start of the introduction of the guy who looked Indentical to Sora was surprising. I have to say Sora and Daikichi's dad is a bastard and needs to lose his seat at the school.

Yakitate didn't have many romance and it's more focuss on food and comedy.
Kitchen Princess is more of shoujo romance + food.
Actually it's a good shoujo manga, although it's not my type.

Read it and liked it, even though it was somewhat predictable even when considering the major plot twist.

I picked up the last volume the other day been waiting for that volume for what seems like forever. I enjoyed the series it is predictable but at lest there are recipes at the end of each volume you can try to make.
