I was thinking of other shows clubs (or core groups) being handed a tank for their school. I may be way off but I've come up with the following three:

Light Music Club (K-On) - Matilda II, then upgrading to a Churchill once Azusa joins so they can have five in the tank.

SOS-dan (Haruhi): Haurhi would go for either a Tiger, Tiger II or a Panther. Her ego is like that. Though she might come up with a weird tank...because she is also like that.

Azumanga Daioh cast (Team Sea Slug): Soviet T-35. possibly Undermanned, but somehow I can see them doing it.

I think the Studen Council member is better to switch to Type 3, give Type 89 for 3 new members. With aimming skill of Anzu and fast loading of Momo, Type 3 will be more useful than green girls.

There's a higher chance of the Type 89 to be wrecked than the Pz38(t), which aside from being flipped over is actually reasonably intact.

But yeah, if Ooarai can't replace their tanks, at the very least they should find a way to fill in the gaps in their crew lineups. The student council seriously needs an extra hand, and anyone who's going to get the Tiger P really need to have a full crew to deal with its various "eccentricities".

Actually, it was amusing to see the Type 89 being shocked and bounced around while not one of its rivets fell out, which was a very, very common problem for the Type 89 after enduring a severe shock of sorts (without being a direct impact).
