Could it be that the Yondaime sealed some of himself in Naruto? You can't forget that he died when he sealed the Kyubi. It could be from Kyubi being way too powerful and he was absolutely worn out in doing the seal, but it could be that forcing some great demon inside a person actually requires forcing the demon in with your spirit - the nature of the seal isn't explicitly discussed in the anime or manga, so it's just a possibility.

about the villagers treating him better well they didnt know that he was the fourths son cus the fourth died and sealed kyuubi into naruto right after narutos birth and obviously his mother isnt around to tell anyone and i would think that the fourth had to be his father or at least a relative i mean who would put the burden of kyuubi on a kid that isnt theirs or related to them

id also like to post some theories by others

i believe this was hunters:naruto is an ultimate form of the kage bunshin of the fourth (his clone that lasts forever)

cant remember any more hey dranz-sama vicious-sama your needed you old geezers

Hey guy, keep cool, old geezer isn't a status or something, it was just a joke between Vicious and me at the beginning, if some other people want to use it too, it's just for the fun.

Damn, there is no rank between the user here.
That remind me this stupid old thread that peoples have made just to talk and laugh about the ban of Dranz and rabbi for 2 days.

I will say the same thing that 2 months ago : Senin or old geezer or SpoonKage or whatever, all that it's just a joke.
If you thinks that it's funny, good for you, use it.
If not, good for you too and don't use it that's all.

An off topic Q..What is the symbol means on Gaara's forehead?..I know, its too obvious a question not to be asked before and the answer probably is in some thread I did not read...So, anyone?

Hm, I hope I'm not killed for asking this but I was curious..I was reading some of the manga, and came across this..was hoping someone can fill me in.

not sure if this is a spoiler but just incase:
Spoiler:

I haven't read any more if it explains it..I'm thinking it just means the seal thing, cause i know they want something to do with the demon, but wasn't sure. Sorry for the stupid question, i'm sure its obvious lol. -_- -hides-

Thumbs up Wow spoiler

Wow i'm luvin' the spoilers, even is they are just rumours. I think if the 4th sealed the nin tails in his own son, it would be because he knew his son would had what it takes to stand the pressure of having such demond on his body.

No, the Kanji in Gaara's forehead means "love".

Gaara translates as "a demon who loves only himself". And that's what Gaara is.

I think there's a possibility that the 4th is Naruto's father, and that he sealed Kyubi inside Naruto, and not any other random person, becouse he thought it's power could be useful to Naruto once he learns to master them.

But... If that was the case, don't you think Naruto would be treated with better respect from the people who was there when the Kyubi attacked? I mean, even if he has the Kyubi inside of him, I think Naruto still would be treated more respectfully if he really was the 4th's son, especially since the 4th himself asked them to consider Naruto as a hero rather than a monster.
But then again, even if Naruto isn't his son, the villagers should treat him better since it was the 4th's last wish, and they still don't give a damn about it, atleast not until recently.

New ideas brings more question, but in short, I still think the possibility of the 4th being Naruto's father is rather big. Question is, who is/was his mother? Probably someone who too died in the battle against the Kyubi, otherwise she would probably be taking care of Naruto. Unless she has some lame-ass reason for not doing it, or is simply too weak to do it by herself...

Exactly the reason I believe that Naruto, while related to the 4th, is not his son. The 4th couldn't have sealed the kyubi in some random baby. "Hi, I'm the 4th. I need your newborn son to seal that big fox demon thing inside of." Somehow I don't see that working. As you said if Naruto was his son, the villagers would treat him better, but he has to be related somehow. That's why I say Naruto is the 4th's nephew. Close enough of a relation to explain the 4th choosing to seal the kyubi in him, and to explain why they look alike, yet distant enough for the villagers to treat Naruto like that.

Hey, that's a pretty good theory. Nephew does sound close enough for the looks and also the fact that he got permission to seal the kyubi inside of Naruto. Naruto's parents must have known the 4th pretty good to trust his judgement and let him seal the fox inside their son, and if Naruto was the 4th's nephew, that kinda makes sense, I agree with that.

*cough* Actually Naruto doesn't have a father neither a mother, he's the clone of the 4th.
The ultimate form of the Kage Bunshin, a permanent clone made by the 4th before his death.
That's why the seal was transmitted to him when the 4th died.

Well, it's at least the wild and crazy theory of Hunter.

Dunno if it was said already, but obviously if Naruto was somehow related to the 4th (son or not), the villagers don't know about it.

I still don't know why exactly people think they are related in the first place, maybe the 4th just sealed the kyuubi into an orphan?
