But Maria... with Horie's cute voice, ...creepy, it's exactly like Hanyuu and too happy-go-lucky...
That's not exactly my image of Maria, having being raised by that nuts mother

I hope she improves it...

But I liked her "Uh-Uh"

The thing is that Maria MUST show the impression that she is VERY happy go lucky for the sheer contrast with the abuse and the occult mode (pretty much like Rena for Onikakushi-hen).
This is even more true with Maria going completely overboard with stuff like toriyaki and the like.

But this cutey cutey will certainly impair the 2 other sides of Maria.

I like Ono's "Ihihihi" so far, hehe, though I still think his voice is a bit too deep.
Maria really does sound like Hanyuu, it's cute and I can see it kinda fitting. Though it's definately not like it was in my mind, where she sounded more bratty but cute at the same time, but I'm gonna have faith in their casting choices and believe that the "Kihihi"'s will be done well.

Just listening to that video makes me smile, hehe, it sounds absolutely silly and I can pick up some words here and there. (enough to understand a tiiiny bit)

Oh, and I can just hope for the best with Shannon so far xD

Battler is pretty good actually. Maria...doesn't fit.

I think that Maria sounds more than OK, it fits her character design at least. x) But I'm waiting for her "creepy mode" before I judge it.

The character designs look good as well. Although I wanted to see how they will handle the "adult" characters... Especially Beato.

Certainly Maria has a bright and a dark side
But, while reading the novel, I never imagined her bright side to be like that of the niconico drama, so much happiness. That's too overboard.

That fits more a character from a slapstick comedy

But since the drama is not serious, I'll take that Horie Yui is just going overboard and will do things better in the actual thing.

And may Satsuki Yukino be a part of this cast!

I still think Ono Daisuke's voice is a bit rough for Battler [or maybe it's because I still dislike the idea of having some of the cast members for Higurashi...], but it does feel better than my "I don't know what to think" feeling of Hocchan being Maria. The "uu" sounds softer than I imagined, though. I'm sure Hocchan will be able to pull off the other side of Maria. They wouldn't have given her the role otherwise, right? Right? :<?

... and when Rika transformed into a Nurse Angel Witch.... なのはｗｗ

The giant Maria part made me lol, mostly because Hanyuu appeared, leaving me confused at the Maria/Hanyuu-ness.

So I actually listened to all of it and didn't realize Hanyuu was at the beginning-ish, too, because I went straight to the five minute-ish mark to hear Maria. Maria also sounds kind of like an airhead/slow/dunce the second time hearing it for some reason. Battler really likes breasts, huh....

Considering we've heard Hocchan's evil adult voice in Higurashi and it was deliciously evil sounding (with the old school villian laugh), I think she can pull it off.

Ditto. Maria certainly tends to annoy Rosa (and me) even when she is happy, I was imagining her with much more of a spoiled brat type of voice. Something like say Mashiro from Mai Otome or a random Kugimiya Rie tsundere character. Someone whose voice betrays her general obnoxiousness even she is happy. Maybe that's just me being not that fond of the creepy child achetype. Or Horie Yui.
