more filler chapters from here on out? the franchise could've turned out more popular than the author initially thought.
Not that I'm complaining. Would be nice if the girls could continue as a band after high school. Of course that's assuming the more competent ones (mio, mugi) are willing to go to college in the same vicinity as the others. |

Well, K-On is "slice-of-life" in my book, so worrying about the AC is fair game. If anything, it shows once again that maybe Ritsu should be given the boot as chairwoman of the club.

Mio = older Azunyan! Uguu~......
I wish Mugi would have gone a little further to kiss Ritsu. The first 2 panels in the last page created a perfect atmosphere only to be wasted by the last. For Mugi, yuri = moe. She is awfully cute the entire chapter. Also, with Mio hitting Ritsu with the paper fan, it seems to confirm their relationship as tsukkomi and boke. P.S Mugi seems like a rather homely girl, not knowing what a Dagashi store is. With her wanting Ritsu to hit her, what does she do at home anyway? Spoiler for NSFW:

As for Mugi, yes, I have no doubt that she is a genderbent Tamaki from Ouran. Darn, I'm itching to write an Ouran-K-On crossover.

Finally got around to reading the K-On! manga... mostly everything is 'as expected' but, Mugi is very interesting. She comes off as quite a bit more dodgy or 'yakuza' under her happy exterior (very rich crime family?). Its possible she's just a part of an old powerful clan (as most of the corporate names actually refer to power families in Japan) but it makes her quite a bit more interesting as a character and I'm a bit sorry that didn't make the transition to the anime very clearly.
In the anime, she seems positively stricken and embarrassed as the servants and workers scamper in horror to make everything perfect. Quote:

I tried reading the manga and I didn't stop until the latest chapter. Yes, it was that entertaining . It's funny on the anime Mio strikes me more but on the manga it's all of the girls (including Ui and Nodoka) minus Mio (because she doesn't seem to have too much comedy stuff) strikes me for amusement .
