My guess is:

The woman of that portrait is the original Beatrice, the one who gave the gold to Kinzo, and Mother of the Beatrice we all know and love, so if that is true maybe, but just maybe, that man is young Kinzo.

But they are going to play as pieces of the metaworld inside 1986.

Or maybe that woman is asumu... and she has the ring... that bitch!

Or they are someone we don't know about.

But that's my guess...

Well I think with the way the screenshots were made... I'm wondering if he was trying to get us to beleive in Kakera theory and that maybe he's going to troll us by revealing who wrote the stories after we saw that screenshot?

Anyway when I said that odds were in favor of shkanontrice original persona, that was in the context of the other possible theories not in general.

If the original identity of that new character is somewhere among the theories already exposed, then I'm fairly sure she's that one. But if it's not so, then anything is possible.

I don't think Ange is on the island, this time around. Sure, it's something that Bernkastel would probably do for shits and giggles, but would she ultimately twist the world's rules like that? If we take everything that happens before the gameboard as truth, then Ange having diarrhea and staying home is a concrete truth, correct?

Yeah, as fun as it is to speculate, we'll all just be crushed a month and a half later anyways XD. But I doubt the discussion will go back to normal until the EP6 TL comes out.

I wouldn't formulate huge theories based on a picture of a character. But, anyone who does not see a resemblance to Jessica is out of their minds. What bothers me is that the portrait has shown 'not real world characters', I guess you could say metaworld characters.

Erika's portrait doesn't appear in the game until she's territory lord of that fragment so it's not really that strange. Same With Evatrice and she's a fantasy character.

What I'm curious about is why there are two characters in the same portrait and why there is a portrait inside the portrait. These two things have clearly never happened before in any of the other portraits.

Erika and Ange are different cases. She could get Erika there because Erika is destined to wash up on the island shores, just as a corpse normally. Ange, on the other hand, is likely in Kyoto with Kyrie's father or somewhere far from Niijima. Events off the island are stagnant, so it's a rather stagnant fact that Ange is always sick enough to not go.
