Baldy's "humour" is hell to translate...

Mezzo 3 kinda disappointing

Anyone else disappointed in episode 3 of this? I kind of liked the first two episodes, but 3 was a big letdown. I couldn't even finish watching it. Where's the killer animation of the first one? And the karaoke scene - arg. I had to fast forward through that, talk about some annoying filler! I hope that this isn't an indicator of things to come...

Remember every series has its up and downs, lets just hope ep4 & future eps will be like 1 & 2. Also since their is another thread about the discussion of Mezzo tv in existence I'm closing this thread. Please post any future comments about Mezzo tv there. Thanks

Hmm... I don't know if you all notice, I thought the standard of animation is dopping for Mezzo TV. Some scenes like Kurokawa eating ramen with Asami was quite badly done. And I gotta agree with [maven] there, at times I'm quite lost as to what Kurokawa is rambling about, either the translations are lost, I'm on a different wavelength or he is just talking rubbish.

It HAS to be because of the fact that I saw "Studio Pierrot" in the credits. They can go to hell for what they did with Saiyuki Reload.

And I think Kurokawa's actually saying a bunch of funny stuff, except that it's really hard to pick up on puns and stuff... he's talking pretty fast... oji-san o.o

Eps 4 was semi boring. It one of those eps that you get to know the character a bit better. Not much action or story... But still was enjoyable if you have nothing to do, like my self.

Mezzo is definetly my series to watch when I'm board stiff at home and have nothing else to do.

Hmm... didn't catch the Studio Pierrot in the credits, but the worst thing an action series can suffer from is having mediocre animation quality. Makes the episode extra slow and bland.

I thought so too until I saw the last shot for the preview of ep 5. Those who saw the OVA know who that is!

I honestly did not like 1-4. 5 seemed to take it in a whole new direction; if 5 was bad, I was just going to drop it, but as of now I'll give it a few more episodes to develop. If it goes back to not-so-interesting stuff like 1-4, I say forget it.
