I just realized I haven't posted on this thread.

Spoiler for Gurren Lagann:

Kittan

Even though he had a really epic death scene, I thought his death was not necessary for the progression of the story. I wish he could have gotten together with Yoko.

Light

I realize he was an unforgivable bastard, but still, I couldn't help rooting for him until the very end. He just had a great magnetic personality.

Spoiler for Fate/Stay Night:

Archer

He also had a very epic death, which I keep re-watching again and again. Still, the show lost a lot of its appeal after he was gone. Gilgamesh and Shiro tried to fill the void in the badass department, but they were not enough.

Lelouch

I know there are theories that he might still be alive, but common sense says otherwise. I think he suffered enough for all troubles that he caused and he did not need to die to pay for his deeds. I think he deserved some happiness with C.C. and his sister at the end.

both deaths had a big impact on lelouch, specially Eurphies...due to susaku.

So both died to further the advance of the bigger characters i guess
