The difference is having that near death experience would serve as a good chance to expand on himegami's character instead of carrying on the assumption that she's air.

As for how season 2 would go, I'm actually sad enough to envision it perfectly in my head.

Ep1 - a remake of the arrow of Azusa mini arc, a good way to reintroduce the characters. Then the later parts would be stiyl and Laura meeting to kick start vol 7.

Vol7 would take up about 4 episodes, ending with the start of vol8, and since most of vol8 got use in railgun, we could sqeeze what's left in the end of episode 5.

Vol8 would take only 2 episodes, the reason we can't put this vol in railgun is because accelerator is already a good guy here and he plays a part in helping mikoto.

Vol 9-10 would take about 7 episodes with some sqeezing. Vol 11 would take 4 epi and we can end the rest with vol 12 and 13, which in my opinion is perfect since that is the turning point of the story... Plus a kihara vs accelerator and vent vs touma would make an awesome final fight!

heck, if they just go with a 25 episodes series instead of 24, they could just go with 4 episodes for volume 7, 4 for volume 8, 7 for 9 and 10, 4 for 11, 2 for 12 and 4 for 13...

or if they decide to cut on volume 8 and expand on that in railgun, they could go with 2 episodes for volume 8, use an episode for the yamisaka ouma arc from volume 5 and go for 5 episodes for volume 13...

There's lots of ways they can do it. All i really and truly hope for is that they don't mess up the story and follow the novels as well as they have been. Vol 4 not withstanding.

Vol8 doesn't need 4 episodes, the very first part of vol8 was already used in epi 2 of railgun, the whole introduction of tokiwadai tests and that aero hand girl, hell even the shower scene was used.

2 episodes would be the fair for that arc.

the first episode would be for awaki beating up kuroko and the second would be mikoto backing up touma to beat up awaki.

2 episodes is enough.

And I would love to see it in 26 episode but J.C. Staff just only makes 24 episodes.

Anyway, inbetween everything we still have a slight mikoto vs a bunch of unnamed espers before facing awaki, kuroko's rematch, and few uiharu research scenes

Well, strictly and accurately speaking, a brief version the shower scene from the beginning of volume 8 was shown during the credits of Index S1 24, down to an exact quote of Kuroko's line as she jumped Mikoto.

And the aero hand girl and shower scene you're talking about were in episode 1 of Railgun, not 2. (the shower scene being a slightly modified version of the shower scene from chapter 1 of the Railgun manga; the aero hand ghirl hasn't appeared in the Railgun manga yet)

Wouldn't a game announcement increase the chance of the second season coming sooner. Usually these types of game are released during the time when an anime adaption is running. Not that I think this mean we will definitely get a second season this year, I just think that this game announcement does not do anything to delay the production of a second season of Index.

I am also glad to see the To Aru Universe get its own game. Hopefully whoever is making this does a good job.

easy, let them battle in Capacity Down area, use muscle and no power
or maybe insert Accelerator as boss or in extreme mode

Oh I wouldn't be worry about that, they'll just have to down play the more powerful characters like eg (Accelerator without death touch) or up-play the less combat-oriented characters like Index. And It definitely wouldn't be very cannon-base to say the least and I wouldn't be suprise if certain characters have moves that doesn't follow the original story

Like what they did for Naruto or Bleach I guess...


Actually I'm more interest in who would make the list of characters. Would it be up to the anime or novel? Also Depending on which, there would be no shortage of 'boss' characters like Johann's Pen Index and Misha in the Anime to later novel characters like FUSE=Kazakiri and Awakened Accelerator.

It would be easy, yes. Though Index would need "non-canon" spells to cope with the other characters.

I wonder what would be Touma's super move. Most likely it would be the Dragon Chomp he used against Aureolus. And his Block would be entirely different with is Imagine Breaker.

Whoa, suddenly, Touma has become a more complicated character to develop.
