Nice fight scenes with kariya and Byakuya on top of the hichigo vs ichigo.

the animation was a little weird but the music was great. Oh, and go go Lisa!!!!!!!
Amazing how she could take on hichigo without releasing her sword or the use of spells.
The guy that tagged her out had to release and nuke hichigo to keep him in place lol.

I wonder if we get to see the little green haired girl fight (who reminds me a lot of kenpachis little girl)

anyways, fun episode

Calm down Those characters are part of the continuity. There's no reason to be suprised/mad to hear about/see them in an episode.

Fantastic! I'm glad I'm not the only thought that as well. To me, that scene, or should I say sound, was the highlight of this episode. The episode didn't leave much other impression on me. The music wasn't that good, and one particular score brought back some suppressed memory from the Bount arc. Why this score is kept eludes me. Kariya, on the other hand, was very cool!

Why though? They're part of the Bleach anime just like everything else.

The modsoul trio IS pretty annoying(Kon is too though), but Karia is just awesome.

Actually, from that whole forsaken Bount Arc, the only positive demonstration of chracter exploration that I've actually cared for was Kariya. I was kind of touched the way he was let go from the mysery of the Bount Arc. And my slight disliking for Ichigo was born when the anime team felt that it was time to make the hero victorious, even against such a cool character. Hence, it was cool to seem him back. You will like Kariya in this episode if you listen to the dialogues in the episode. He pretty much triggers self-discovery by Ichigo that follows.

I am the not the biggest fan of filler arcs, but let's put it this way...

Kariya appearing > Renji appearing.

I think he is getting punished by treating zangetsu as a weapon like zaraki he doesnt even know the name

I have to say I did enjoy this episode, I was thinking the fights would be little more then copy/paste flash backs, but I was pleasantly surprised. While it has basis in a flash back, the fights seem to be new and have an extra meaning to them, especially with the dialogue. The dialogue between HIchigo and Ichigo seems to have some extra meaning to it then in the manga (which seemed to be fairly short discussion from memory). I don't mind them dragging the story out this way, heh. Will need the subbed version now so I can make sense of it all.

Next episode looks like it will be good. Mmm Ken, fun times assured. Oh and Ceeeeeero!

Finally got around to watching it.

While the "flashbacks" seemed like past fights, it was like there was brand new footage on them. I honestly have to say, those scenes were better than what was happening outside Ichigo's brain, with Lisa's spinkicks or without.

And random Hiyori scenes were like gold to me

Other then that the ep was great i just don't like cliffhangers...wich is pretty much one at the end of every ep ^_^

Sheesh the bount arc wasn't that bad. Yeah not great after the amazing SS arc, but compared to other shows fillers it wasn't awful. I think we all agree the mod souls are annoying though.

Spoiler for thoughts on ep:

Filler eps or not, Kariya was a good addition. I felt his speech was very relevant and it didn't feel forced into the continuity like the bount arc did. Hichigo was awesomely evil here and his horse and king analogy was really well done. And those bells....we all know what's coming next ep.

Certainly not the best but I thought it was done pretty well, especially compared to ep 120 (only highlight of that ep was Ururu kicking tail). The "recap" at the beginning really cut into the action though, I felt the vizard fights were lacking.
