That wallpaper is at konachan though and I don't think it's the same one you use since I'm not seeing the text under it.

Either way in this case when the background is just single color, you can do it even in paint. Crop the area from the text and move it slightly up. Then just select a block of the color and copy it over the space that got empty from you cropping it.

What Dist said. iPodified pictures are extremely easy to edit. Just some clean cropwork (and maybe brushwork) should be sufficient enough.

This is my current one. Right now this is set permanently since I've been having trouble with my Katakana. It helps to be able to quickly switch to a chart like this. Otherwise I would have it change randomly between over 100 high quality anime pics.
