I just saw episode 5 and I want to like this series but I'm losing interest.

Izayoi is just too powerful and it's boring to watch him cream everything without even trying.

Does that ever change?

*shrugs* He isn't the solution to every problem, though it's generally stupid for anyone to fight him. Watch the show for the other characters. That's what I did.

Don't forget that due to the gift game system used in this show, he can't do everything by himself.

He already "trying" when he helped his friend clearing other conditions that is not "just beat the shit out the enemy"

Personally... I want to be like Izayoi, LOL (that and his gentlemanly harem)

If he could, Izayoi would have ended this anime already... since he can solo all Demon Lords (as you've seen how strong he is, he can even go up against Gods)

But as mentioned, the Gift Game System makes it so that you can't really solo all that often, and even if you could, there are restrictions where you can only use certain moves or abilities or you fail no matter how strong you are.

It's like a Lion losing to a Rabbit because the requirements for a Gift Game was who can crawl through a small tunnel first... LOL

Just ignore it, there's this wave of calling any competent in their element MC a gary stu recently.

The series was excellent and I enjoyed it from beginning to end which sadly happened last week. Favorite character was probably Asuka, I liked her dilemma with her gift being used to control others and wanting to adjust it to where she wouldn't ever have to do that anymore. Not to say that I don't think Shiroyasha and Izayoi didn't steal the show whenever they got to cooperate.
