So, who's side is she in? I'm really confused of what's happening. Why is there Chao in the flashback? Can someone at least tell me what are she and Negi talking about? Please?

Well, since I have no idea of what's happening, this is one wild guess, but I think she's Arika or Nagi's Familiar/golem/contract demon. Hey, Negima doesn't have that yet, yes?

Btw, her smile here and here is very intimidating, especially from someone who had only smiled once over the course of 294 chapter...

as for the chao thing...well, apparantly she had conctacts in teh underworld, laugh-out-freakin-loud....and had her hands in more things than we thought. heck, she mihgt be a full-on chessmaster-type, by now, lol
dont worry, its just when people complain about how there is no scan, is right when they come out jsut a little longer

she's on negi's side, she's trying to prevent him from having a disaster...but she's not 'on' his side directly.....meh, its complicdated....she's an ally, but for the moment, not necacarilly a friend...though, she probably will be shortly

apparantly, she has been fighting dynamis and fate since 20 years ago...or at least, they know her from then....so..yeah...also, apparantly the small guy, the one on fates team, the one that people seem ot think is similar to zect.....has a connection to zect. go figure

yes, her smile is VERY scary i have no doubt she could FLOOR negi in a fight. she seems to be at eva's level if u ask me, so it would be a tough fight, but she would win at her current level IMO. TIME FOR A POWER UP...FOR THE HOLE UNDERLEVELED TEAM, I HOPE!!!!! NO ONE-MAN ARMING NEGI, I HOPE!!!! THERE A TEAM FOR A STINKING REASON. And ROFL at anybody being on Eva's level. Eva's the Hiko Seijuro of this series. The only person who was bad enough to fight Evangeline is Nagi and well, he's dead.

where did you get that idea? both Rakan and Alberto's pactio with Nagi is still working. They only stop working when Nagi is dead.

Illusion. There is two clues:First, the tree isn't shining (and from the last few, it should be. so it may be the real one. Second, her artifact is "silde-show circus". They aren't really back to mahora. It is an illusion.

Well we don't know the full story of what happened we have parts of info but he could be trapped some where? could be something like what happened in the anime, demon realm maybe? for the new arc XD

I think that's currently one of the main mystery of the series. What exactly happend to Ala Rubra? What happened to both of his parent?

well, toss what i said about her being nuetral, someone did a small-translation at astronerdboys blog, and she IS with fate's group. dang. oh well, im sure most of them are gonna become allies with negi, anyway....still, i cant help but feel she has a hidden agenda, since KA said there would be some big revelation on her in the last arc, and since this supposed to go for a good more 100+ chapters, i doubt this is the last arc.

Best that I can make out regarding Zazie's relationship with KE is that it's complicated, and probably not official. Neither Fate nor Dynamis knows her. Both said as much, verified by my own limited translation skills. The chibi mage in the cloak, however (the one we don't know anything about), does know her. In fact, he's the one who called her, as they have an "old friend relationship". Fate didn't seem too happy to find out... (Chibi Mage betrayal flag!)

As for her loyalties, though, that's still undetermined. She doesn't seem out to kill AA, of course, and warns Negi that his current plan will cause more bloodshed than Fate's, and will lead to the future that Chao wanted to avoid (Negi's answer: "I know"). Her line before she pulls out her artifact card is "It can't be helped...poyo", so it's unclear what she plans to do next. I guess we'll find out in two weeks or so...

Wow ... I certainly didn't expect Zazie to be all to do that, well it seems that she's officially on the side of the bad guys, probably ... or at least that's the impression I got, but currently I'm a little to mind stumped to be able to process thing correctly.

At the very least, it seems that she's really powerful ... and probably isn't human, if the abilities that she displayed signify this ... since from what I have seen her Pactio card only comes out at the end of this chapter.

Anyway it seems that Ken has pulled out a heck of a cliffhanger, before the next break period, if my intuition is correct.

Well I wonder what is going to be the result of the confrontation against Zazie, but it seems that with this new twist, we will still need to wait for Negi and Fate clashing against each other ... though I don't mind, because the confrontation against Zazie seems to be pretty interesting as well.

That's more like using a different tactic than holding back. He did a short combo leading into a big power hit instead of a lot of small hits or a projectile attack, doesn't make it any less effective. I mean he blew her straight through a rock that was larger than their airship and deep into an even bigger one, that has to be the most collateral damage we've seen him do from a single physical attack.

Anyone else a little concerned that the current situation with Zazie is going to turn into a rehash of the "Eight Days Later" arc? The reason why I say this:

1. Unlike the "Eight Days Later", those people who discuss each chapter thoroughly can deduce that this "Mahora" is really an illusion based on what Negi and his crew assume is going on at Mahora at the moment instead of what's actually happening (remember, Negi doesn't know about both the World Tree currently glowing again and the fact that the attacks on the gatepost have caused time in the Magic World to be out of sync with Earth time.

2. A number of readers are already feeling fatigue due to the sheer length of the Magic World arc. Hence, while we're finally learning more about Zazie, the way it's being done feels as if more padding is happening.

3. Even if it is the real Mahora, people will be crying foul over the fact that Ken cheated them out of a spectacular final battle between Negi and Fate.

One more thing: anyone else expect the the Chibimage to be the true "big bad", with him and Zazie making their getaway at the end of this arc to prepare for what they plan to do in the final arc?
