DmC: Devil May Cry

Yeah, although I kinda like how the system worked in action, this looked painfully slow.

DMC3 is like 3x faster.

I'm still waiting to see that "improved gameplay" and the "re-worked and better mechanicas an systems" they were talking about.

So far, the only thing diferent from previous DmC is the re-design.

I want the game to be fast, really fast. But this looks too slow for a Devil May cry game, so In my opinion I wouldn't have complained if they copied the same speed from the previous DMC games.

UE3 is locked at 30fps.

It will be slow no matter what they say that it will be 60fps at 30fps locked. They're just making consumers idiots.

Anyways on other DmC news if you checked the official site Virgil is reported to be in the game as a returning character.

slow gameplay, Angel/Demon parents confirmed, a guide character like in HS Nariko has one and also Monkey has his master, this now Donte has a hooded girl, more traditional elements from the game, new voice actor, similar to Nero's gameplay style rather than Dante himself.

The first time I saw him, I always thought that this new Dante is much more similar to Nero From his appearance, and also his role as "the young one", plus that car-grabbing ability from the first trailer.

From the recent gameplay, they also put that grappling ability for the platforming gameplay element.

Gameplay is slow, but it's a relief to see Dante not being an angst- I mean, uh, "angry" teenager. Then again, there was only a small bit of dialogue. Though I agree, gameplay was... WAY too slow. Well, it's no suprise, we all knew "feel like 60FPS" was BS.

There is ONE redeeming aspect, though, and that's the areas. I like the design.

I agree.

Gameplay is too slow imo. Song is not DMC style at all, but again if they used similar music to DMC 3 and 4 then it would not correspond with the gameplay. You get a slow game you of course need music to fit the pace so yes we're stuck in emo hell.

I wouldn't be surprised if Vergil came in, the game is confirmed to not be canon so they can do whatever they want. However that will not save them. I am certainly not buying it.

I remember people saying about DMC4 that there were many flaws in Nero's gameplay; he could stay int he air constantly and was boring to play according to some others, if it does end up the same well.. you do the math. (my guess is it will be; wait till cooldowns are up and press again to win)

I am very displeased, as a fan of the genre this game does no credit at all.
They said they had no stories etc. for DMC so they made a non canon one, that's a lame excuse there are still a lot of things they could be using; Nero's origin which was only brief explained in the novels, Sparda and the list goes on.
