Blood : The Last Vampire novels

Has anyone read them? I want to know how good they are. I just finished watching blood+ and can't believe how much they butchered the movie.

I've read the manga and apparently the novels are supposed to finish what the movie and manga started?

I honestly liked the series more than the movie. The novel, available in English, is a tie-in with the movie but going by the reviews on Amazon it sounds more like a Dan Brown book. I'll pass on this one.

The movie? Are you talking about the live action one or the animation one because animation one came first.

Also I always found the TV series to be a bit....not quite loyal to the vampire lore. I mean blood crystallizaing others. Also, I don't because they even called each other vampires in the TV series. The animation movie will always be more superior for me.

BTW if anything the manga for blood+ butchered the series.....

Im talking about the original movie, which was a short one called "Blood : The Last Vampire". Look it up. The anime series butchered many of the movie's unique points by including a generic shounen protagonist(Kai), and making the main female character a useless moeblob that won all of her important fights through deus ex machina(suddenly powering up) or plot h4x(rescued by important character X). The pacing was also horrible. The original movie won multiple awards for a reason, the reception for the anime series was much more luke warm.

The manga is a continuation of the movie. If you haven't watched the movie, it will make no sense for you.

The movie was pretty amazing. I would consider the series itself to be an alternate universe, and I've yet to see the whole thing. Eventually I will... can't wait actually.

I read the Blood: The Last Vampire novel, and it was the most boring, slow-paced, preachy garbage I've ever read. Don't waste your time.
